The rules here are pretty basic and easy to follow:
- Be nice
- Don't spark arguments with intentionally inflammatory remarks
- Absolutely no discussion of black or grey-market cannabis. Period.
- No discussions about under-age use
- No giving out medical advice regarding cannabis
- If you hate cannabis and look down on those who use it, this is not the club for you
Anyone who breaks rules 3, 4, 5, or 6 will be banned. Anyone who breaks rules 1 or 2 will be given a single warning, on the second offense they will be banned.

Simulators of all kinds are appearing these days, and this one I saw this morning has an interesting concept. You test and repair pinball machines for clients. Can't say I ever imagined someone would actually develop something like this, but here it is. Read about it here: https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/11/flipper_mechanic_is_an_upcoming_switch_game_where_you_fix_and_test_classic_arcade_machines
No release date and it looks like it's only coming to consoles, but if the gameplay is good it could be a relaxing time-killer for a few hours.

Great! I hope it works for you, it's been pretty good to me. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask me and I'm happy to help if I can.

Personally, I've used one of these: https://www.r43ds.org/products/R4-3DS-Dual-Core.html
No issues, runs DS games fine, interface is decent and it's cheap. Can't vouch for that specific seller, but that's the card I use.

Code is claimed! Thanks
-
Damn, good catch Grig I'm sure your kids are gonna love these. That pile represents hundreds, maybe thousands, of hours of my gaming life.
-
EDIT: Code is claimed, thanks!
Got a Steam code for Two Worlds Epic Edition in a bundle, but I already own it. As I've done a few times here in the past, I want to let it go for free to someone that could use it.
As always, my rules are the same:
If you already own it, please don't claim it. And if you're not really interested in the game, please let the code go to someone who is actually interested in playing it. PM me for the code.
Drop a reply in this topic letting people know if you're PM'ing me, usually when I do this I get quite a few messages as people don't know the code has been claimed.

Never had an issue with any of the 3 Lite's I've owned over the years. I think they're great systems.

Hey all.
Looking to replace my DS Lite that I sold last year. Looking on eBay, they're mostly going for $60 and above (in Canadian dollars). Is this really what Lite's are worth now? I bought my last one for $20.
Figured I'd come here to see if anyone had a DS Lite they'd be looking to part with. I'm in Canada, so if there was anyone in Canada that would be awesome.

Looking is about all I can afford anymore.

I'm trying to figure out the market for this, but can't quite get there. At $150 it's way too much for a novelty, but with the hardware limitations it also isn't a serious gaming contender.

Meth use isn't known for inculcating good financial habits.
Tell me about it. Where I live, if something even smells faintly of copper the meth-heads come scrabbling out of their filthy hovels to steal it.

They're butthurting because they can't force everyone to move forward and buy new content. It's important to remember that a founding principle of game servers was and is and forever will be a means to prematurely make a product obsolete before its time.
That's why I groan at the dearth of modern games that require some kind of online functionality to add to gameplay. Someday, when the servers shut down, it'll be a gimped game.

Eh, an unsurprising end to the project.

The idea of having a box on the shelf is neat, but the SD card seems a bit of a jumble. I'd print boxes though, just for shelf-decoration.

Well.....you could play every home console Zelda game ever on the Wii U, between VC, HD released, and Wii backward compatibility.
I can bet you they will port a fair share of those to the Switch.
Right? That's certainly my hope. I love Wind Waker, but never had a Wii U so no HD edition for me sadly.
-
I just want Wind Waker HD, to be honest.

While the name sounds like some kind of trendy eatery, the game itself looks pretty fun. Usually I roll my eyes at 16/8-bit cash-in titles, but this one looks like it's had some proper work put into it (from what I've read).

Ok that helps. The 2 RPGs aren't grind heavy at all, nothing like say dragon quest stuff at all. I know some of it is a re-run if you had it, but things that are cheaper like the Nicalis stuff (Cave Story, Isaac, Tiny Barbarian) are solid picks if you like the style of the games as would Retro City Rampage DX if you can find it. I'd suggest that SF2 game from Capcom but in a few months give or take a huge SF package comes with many series titles on one card. You have Skyrim and Zelda so that's covered. As Jin colorfully put up there DOOM is a solid choice too for your same on the go reasoning. Stuff like LA Noire and other console carry overs are typically good picks. Pinball fan? Stern Pinball Arcade has a nice set of games on there copying original hardware and gamestop only got the physical release rights annoyingly.
If you like some Lego or Lego-ish style stuff there are a few of those Lego theme games, but also Lego City Undercover which is just crazy good if you want a goofball GTA kind of like style game. But also in that world falls Minecraft and like builders. Portal Knights came out yesterday and it's amazingly good. There's also the similar Dragon Quest Builders, both being a mix of builder and RPG.
That I am a fan though that's bias, but I think people would generally agree there are a lot of solid ACA/Hamster releases from the Neo-Geo arcade family you may want to drop some coin into. Of them all though Neo Turf Masters due to the amount of courses and time and player choices involved probably would go the farthest, but there are a good list of solid shooters, brawlers and obviously fighters.
Lego City Undercover looks great, I hadn't seen it until now. I'll definitely pick that up.
I haven't played any Nicalis stuff so I'll look at that, same with DOOM and Retro City Rampage. LA Noire always looked interesting too, but I never bought it.
Pinballs are fun too, though I'm usually pretty picky about the physics.
Dragon Quest Builders did look fun, and while I haven't extensively explored the series I am familiar with it. Got pretty good reviews too so it's on my list.
Never played Neo Turf Masters, but I really enjoy golf games - very relaxing.
This has given me a lot to explore, I appreciate it!

Zelda hands down. BOTW is the killer app for the Switch and this is coming from somebody that has never played any Zelda title before now.
I am definitely blown away by BOTW so far, hands-down one of my favorite Zelda games to date (Wind Waker and Oracle of Seasons being numbers 1 and 2, respectively)
Blaster Master for old school fun!
I never played it on the NES, it looks like a good reboot so I'll have to check it out. Thanks!
I just got Wonderboy in the mail today, a must pick up. I can recommend some solid games that aren't just the obviously solid Zelda BOTW and Mario Odyssey (and MK8) which many would. Third parties have finally tried their ends off and did some amazing work so far and more to come.
Puzzles are kind of meh for me too outside of a nice run of Tetris and a few others. Do you have other preferences? Stern Pinball (gamestop physical release there only) is a nice one with around a dozen real tables. NIcalis has put up some amazing 'indie' level stuff of super quality and they do launch bundles with added goodies, but all still get a rare printed manual which is fantastic. I wouldn't do BOTW and Skyrim at the same time, pick one and go for it. Importing since it's in english, I Am Setsuna is a fantastic little RPG that kind of handles much like Chrono Trigger in combat, an 'engine' sequel just popped up called Lost Sphear too.
I enjoy racing games, some light strategy games, adventure games, FPS's, RPG's. Most genres of games I can get behind, besides puzzlers.
Skyrim I've already put hundreds of hours into, but I can't resist being able to play it on a portable console. But, I'm not chomping at the bit to snag that one yet since I have it on PC.
I'll check out I Am Setsuna and Lost Sphear, I really enjoy RPG's in the vein of Chrono Trigger (provided they aren't too grind-heavy).
Thanks for the great suggestions! So far I am digging the Switch hard, it feels like Nintendo is finally returning to the company I loved growing up.

Besides the fact they called themselves 'The Ataris', I fail to see the connection to video games. That would likely be the reason for no replies.

Piko are the ones who did the Wisdom Tree stuff. As far as I know, solid folks. I'm not much of an N64 guy, but I like the 3D platformers from that era so I may pick this up on Steam.
They get credit for the Kickstarter trailer, it gave me flashbacks to commercials on Saturday mornings. Even the announcer sounds like the guy who used to narrate trailers for kids movies when I was a young'un.

Someone is Selling Their 23,000+ Movie Collection For $1M
in Auction Central
Posted · Edited by TPA5
Browsing through eBay and stumbled across this listing: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/23-045-Movies-Worlds-Largest-Collection-4K-Blu-ray-DVD-3D-Criterion-Steelbook/264521844688?hash=item3d96bb07d0:g:SLYAAOSwMvtZSJKj
23,045 movies for $1M. I have no idea the value of movies as I don't watch many movies, and those I do are on a streaming service. But at $1M that's an average price of about $43 per movie, but he does have quite a bit of (according to him) rare stuff. Regardless, even if it's a fair price, the logistics of shipping that many movies would be a huge drag.
In any case, I don't want to dump on the price. Just thought the auction is pretty out-of-the-ordinary and figured some folks here would get a kick out of it. The pictures are pretty incredible to see, his basement looks like an underground Blockbuster.
