  1. Added a section on guidelines for trades. Let me know if any edits should be made to that section! (And a shameless bump)
  2. Hey folks, I scored a really sweet deal on a DS Lite thanks to a fellow member here, and I am looking for a flash card I can use to play some emulators and homebrew on. Don't worry, I'd be utilizing it legally, I just want the ability to play some of the games I own on the go for the NES, SNES, etc. I have a Dingoo pocket emulator but the DS is a nicer feeling unit. Anyway, if anyone has one that would be superb! Cheers
  3. That's cool, would you consider shipping to Canada?
  4. I'll be honest, I didn't even know GameSpy was still around
  5. Try sending him a personal message on the forums: http://atariage.com/forums/index.php?app=members&module=messaging&section=send&do=form&fromMemberID=25282 It usually sends an email notifying that a personal message has been received. He hasn't logged in for almost a year, and this item is probably long gone, but you never know. If you're really looking for it, try that at least. Cheers!
  6. Those tactile switches look sweet, I might have to try that myself!
  7. Wow, that's awesome! You should show this to the guys at Hack-A-Day, they'd love it. Your tenacity impresses me to no end, the quality of work is very clean. Love it!
  8. Purchased a DS Lite from him for a unbelievable price. Super friendly, awesome to deal with, wouldn't hesitate to buy something from him again. Cheers!
  9. You mean the company that knows more about me that my own dear mother? Sure, I'd love for them to know all my spending habits too. Sorry, but I don't trust Google as far as I can throw them.
  10. Now that is just awesome, I wish I had the money for this so bad!
  11. I gotta say I'm more on Zwackery's line of thinking. Sure, eBay and PayPal aren't perfect, but neither is any other company. eBay let's me access a selling market I simply do not have near by me, and PayPal does let me send and receive payments with peace of mind. And every single time I've called PayPal customer support they've been polite, prompt, and easy to deal with. Plus PayPal's buyer protection is nice peace of mind when buying long distance. They're a big company like anyone else, so they're going to have places they suck like anyone else. And why complain about the fees? You were buying a good from this fellow, you weren't sending gift money to a buddy. You were dropping cash, he was sending you a product. If anything, trying to send it as a gift is basically gaming the system. So it's a bit silly to complain when you were technically the one being dishonest.
  12. I thought one of the project leads was Mark Zbikowski?
  13. Seriously folks, $100 for this monitor is the best price you'll see for a screen this nice.
  14. That is so true. I don't horde, but for some reason when it comes to tech, especially older tech, I can't help myself. If someone's just going to toss something, I try to save it and re-purpose it. Even if its piecing together a computer and donating it to someone who could use one. People don't think about it, but the computers they're tossing out could easily be giving a little love and donated to someone who needs it.
  15. Thanks mate, as it would have it I got a couple HP DX2000 machines for 10$ a piece from the local fire department, they were getting rid of old workstations. Luckily, they have floppy drives so looks like I'm set for making a boot disk!
  16. It's true, usually I miss deals but I just happened to be browsing when the topic went live. Sorry for making you guys miss out!
  17. Well, like any company Nintendo is going to look at the numbers. If the numbers don't call for continuing the service, it really only makes sense they'll shut it down. Not to say it isn't sad, Nintendo is one of my favorite companies. I'm guessing though we'll see more cost-cutting measures like this from them in the coming months as they deal with the fallout of the Wii-U's failure to impress.
  18. EDIT, Nov. 3 2015: Shortly after bumping this topic and PM'ing a couple folks, I realized that I (very foolishly) forgot about the Canadian dollars breathtakingly poor performance against the US dollar. As such, I am going to be unable to work out most deals to the US, as unfortunately any US price comes with an added 25% to myself when the exchange is taken into account. My apologies if I have wasted anyones time, here's hoping the Canadian dollar looks up soon. Hey guys, While vintage computers are often my primary interest, GameCube gaming has been a passion of mine since our family got one as a Christmas present in 2003. Although I don't know if it was my dad or me who managed to log more hours on it (he did beat Metroid Prime before I did), the GameCube remains my favorite console of all time. That being said, I'm still collecting for it! I have around 50 games right now, but I'm always looking to add more. So here's my list. I'm located in Canada, so shipping too much from the USA quickly gets expensive, just as an FYI. I (like most) work on a budget. So I'm not looking to fill this list tomorrow. Perhaps chip away at it a few games at a time. As time goes on I'm sure I will add more games as I think of them. Thanks! 19. Thanks for the input, and insight! I've never had to collect on insurance, so I wasn't sure how the process works. I think for now I'll leave the line in there, maybe with a caveat.
  20. That's not a bad idea, I'll look into it, thanks! That's a good idea, I got a place I could get one for pennies probably. Thanks!
  21. eBay is a lost cause, there's no hope for them now.
  22. Those are the files, but I need the actual floppy disk itself. I have no way of making floppies
  23. Sadly, it cannot. It requires a boot disk to get the install initialized. It's a pretty old board so it's not terribly surprising.
  24. Hey folks, Working on getting my retro DOS gaming machine running, but I need a boot floppy for Win98SE. I don't really have a way to make one here, just wondering if anyone has a floppy they'd be willing to part with, or even perhaps borrow so I can get Windows 98 running? Thanks! Thanks for the suggestions guys, I got it sorted!
