    It was 36 F a couple of hours ago.  Now it is 15 F and going down to 7. 

    But there is no such thing as cold, only an absence of heat.

      Bummer. I liked the concept (and am still hoping they find a way to launch it). It felt like they had way too many execs too early in the process though, especially when the pandemic made everything more difficult. I wondered how long they could burn though funds without needing another source.

    I'm going to hurl.  Someone filed an unemployed claim in my mother's name.  They only got two payments, but don't know how hard it will be to get this straightened out. ?

      I hate this on several levels. I can't stand scams and people who spend so much time trying to rip people off. It also befuddles me how we can be responsible when someone pretending to be us accesses benefits, uses our credit cards, etc. Your mom didn't fill out the claim and didn't authorize the payments but it's now her/your responsibility to straighten it out. That shouldn't be the case.

    Wow! You really find things out later in life. My great Aunt passed away today at 93. I only saw her about 4 times in the previous 40 years but up until the age of 9, I lived not far from her so I would regularly visit. She'd mention that she looked after me when I was a baby. I posted a photo she gave me of me with my grandad outside her house on FB a few weeks ago and another aunt mentioned that I lived there for about 3 months. First time I'd heard of it. Now, my mother's just told me that the pair of us lived there for a couple of months after she gave us a place to stay when my grandmother refused to do so. My mother was pregnant at 15 and had just turned 16 when she had me and, like she said, it was "worse than murder" back then. She and my dad got married a couple of months after I was born.

    Just got hit with a $1,512 back tax bill for my PayPal Sales in 2019.  Going to try to dispute it with the "Yard Sale" clause.  About done with Ebay going to try to stay off the radar going forward.

      It actually falls in line with the tax brackets if the sales are considered incremental income and he makes enough to get to the 32% bracket.

       

      There could also be penalties they are trying to impose if it's from 2019.

      Crime shows have taught me similar things. Bad guys with machine guns are no match for a good guy with a pistol.

       

      Actually stormtroopers are notoriously poor shooters also.
