  1. Wow! Pretty cool that he wasn't even close to being born yet when Tetris was first released.

    Atari club?

Aren't those posters, not games, on sale at the Atari Club for $25? I didn't see any games.
  3. Like akator I never saw one as a kid but I've owned one for the past 25 years or so. It rarely gets played (maybe that will be one of my goals for 2024) but I really enjoy it.
  4. You sir are a genius. My wife has a good job but I'm going to run the prospect of her getting a second job to increase my purchasing power! I'd do it myself but then I wouldn't have time to actually play the games so that wouldn't work
  5. Wow, that's amazing and I love that FROB is related, even if just indirectly, to the Zork games made by Infocom.
  6. Played my new Analogue Duo some this week... Devil's Crush 45 minutes Final Lap Twin 52 minutes Y's Book I & II - 202 minutes Drop Off - 34 minutes Loderunner - 26 minutes TV Sports Basketball - 30 minutes Galaga '90 - 18 minutes
  7. I'm fairly certain I have an extra Cosmic Ark. PM me your address and I'll send it to you.
  8. You're probably thinking about Cosmic Ark
  9. Demon Attack was published by Imagic, not Activision but it is true that Activision was quality.
  10. Hank, I'm so glad you're here with us. Maybe you could post a list of what you'd like to get back and some of us could give you a hand.
  11. Thanks. Space Versus was released awhile ago but it's recent. I thought I missed one.
  12. It's cool seeing people receive their orders. Are the remaining order close behind (like just need to be boxed and sent) or are we still looking at a longer waiting game?

I am now considering the 8K games. See you in 2044
  14. Hopefully Brutus has a little more magic in him

    Best 4K game

Interesting that 4K Atari carts beat 4K televisions to the market by such a wide time frame I've been thinking about the original question since it was first asked and agree with the Big Player that it's Pitfall. However, there were many great 4K games including lots of arcade conversions like Frogger, Q*bert, Wizard of Wor, GORF, Mousetrap, Defender, Berzerk, Galaxian, Pacman and Venture.
  16. Another year, another successful Secret Santa. My Santa lives close enough to my house to personally deliver my package this year. I wasn't home when he delivered it but we noticed the large yellow box on our front step as soon as we pulled into our driveway. Santa left a note on the box saying that he likes to give local products even though we may live closer to some of the items than he does I really appreciated finding multiple wrapped gifts in the box including an awesome Donkey Kong shirt (that pairs nicely with the Pacman pajama pants I wore this morning lol), I told Santa that I have a Genesis but hardly any games so he left me a boxed Bubsy, a boxed Klax, and a loose columns as well as a loose California Games from my NES want list. He also left some ping pong balls (with an American flag printed on them for the "classic team logo" lol), a bag of Grippo BAR-B-Q flavored potato chips which are already about half empty - they are delicious with a bit of a kick to them, but not as much heat as "The Whole Shebang" which is a bag of wavy potato chips I'd never seen before but are awesome. In addition there was some great chocolate and vanilla taffy and a "share size" snickers bar which I unashamedly am not sharing lol. Thanks Santa, what a great mix of some local favorites along with some items I've never tried before!
  17. H.E.R.O. is incredibly cool and has been a favorite of mine since its debut when I was a child. What an honor it is to have you drop in and comment in the forums. Thank you!!
  18. I hooked it up to the 60" screen and you are all correct as it was magnificent! Not sure what I worried about Beamrider was meant to be played this way!! Thanks for all the awesome replies!!
  19. I'm planning on finally hooking my Atari 2600+ up sometime in the next couple of days and have a question I haven't seen before. What size television do you find to be best? I feel like our 60" tv is going to make everything so blocky it won't be as playable. Maybe smaller is better? I started my Atari playing days in 1980 on a 12" black and white tv.
  20. Ha! I love all of those things/places and I DO miss the Montgomery Inn that was in Dublin but I still buy their BBQ sauce at the grocery.
  21. I returned home today to find my Secret Santa present had been delivered. Interestingly, Santa lives close enough to me that he dropped it off himself with a nice handwritten note. I already thought my Santa was a cool guy (I've purchased a couple of games from him in the past, Bash Brutus & OSU: The Streak). I have some work left to finish before I can stop for the rest of the year. Hoping to get that done by the middle of the week. Afterward, I'll rest and open my Secret Santa gift. Maybe an update Wednesday or Thursday! Thanks Santa!
  22. Oh my this game is so addictive. Love it!
  23. I have it and it's incredible. I highly recommend ordering it if you're a Qix fan. My 17 year old, who isn't a huge Atari fan, had 2 friends spend the night shortly after I got Qyx. The Atari was hooked up in our family room. One of the boys had never even seen an Atari and wanted to try it. They ended up staying up practically all night playing it. I still haven't beaten my son's high score *sigh*
