  1. I think it's still commonly used. Noticed this on my "meal" tonight (trying to lose weight I've gained thanks to Covid). It was rather bland, like Space Jockey. Hate to think about the unimproved version.
  2. Holy cow, that would have been an awesome treat!
  3. Wow, that hat and scarf is incredible. I'm also happy this thread made a comeback
  4. Okay, I dug out my Gameline and the Master File (instruction manuals). Who wants to play me
  5. True but it seems like you would need something to improve
  6. I was looking at some of my boxes and noticed that Space Jockey (and Towering Inferno for that matter) says "NEW Improved Video Graphics". What exactly does that mean? Was there a graphically inferior version at some point in time? Sorry that the picture is upsidedown. I wish there was an easy way to rotate it.
  7. Would love to see an 8 player on-line Berzerk-like game!
  8. I had an Atari but looking back I'm surprised my parents didn't buy the telegames version. We went to Sears for nearly everything from school clothes (yes I wore toughskins) to a riding lawn mower. I bought several games at Sears but I don't remember any of them being the Telegames versions. Maybe my memory is fuzzy or I just didn't choose games that had the Sears brand.
  9. That's $100 million! $1 million would be a bargain for you
  10. I was just wondering how to play Omega Race without the Booster Grip. I had no idea that it also works with paddles.
  11. Wow. Nice job! I was literally just complaining that it seems like nearly every Pitfall 2 I get has this very issue. I was told that the boards Activision used were slightly thinner which also adds to the problem.
  12. The short answer is that the sellers are purchasing postage directly from eBay so the tracking number gets assigned automatically. However, they still have to make sure it gets to the post office.
  13. I love my Vic-20 and still have (and use) the one I got as a child. I never realized until literally last night that Bandits on the Vic-20 is the same game as The Earth Dies Screaming on the Atari 2600.
  14. Feels like it was a business decision and not personal. You were working on an idea independently from Tommy's team and it doesn't seem like your idea fits his vision for where he wants the Amico to go. Even if it did, he may have chosen to go another route due to business, rather than personal, reasons. A bummer for sure but it doesn't appear that you were involved with or even close to Tommy given that you spell his name at least two different ways in your post.
  15. That's really cool. Thanks for sharing!
  16. Wow. It appears that someone like him owes someone like me an apology. Looks like FACTS aren't always FACTS. BTW: I know you read this Paul, I seriously want the apology.
  17. I guess Happiest does lol. I've noticed that people sometimes go in and buy tons of stuff driving prices up only to sell a bunch of them later. 07pwd did a lot of this back in the mid 2000s. I'm guessing that they're trying to keep minimum value (price) on things they've purchased in the past but I'm not sure.
  18. Wow! At least you got a pleasant response. I sent him the following question... Hi, is this an authentic box and cart or are they reproductions? They don't appear to have the shiny metallic look that others I've seen have. Thanks! and received this answer... I have been on E-Bay way too long with a PERFECT record to have my credibility brought into question by someone like you. FACTS are FACTS. Goodbye. I thought the question was actually pretty nice. I didn't accuse him of anything. I just asked for clarification since the look was a little different.
  19. I put in a little more time over the weekend: Atari 2600: Entombed - 7 minutes California Games - 5 minutes Donkey Kong Jr. - 8 minutes Fishing Derby - 8 minutes The Earth Dies Screaming - 10 minutes Dodger Cars - 4 minutes Fast Food - 5 minutes
  20. Has anyone asked the seller for more info? Would be interesting to see the response.
  21. Here's my most overrated by publisher... Atari - Combat - some people love it but I never got into it. Activision - Sea Quest - I like it but there's nothing special about it. I gave Freeway and Laser Blast a free pass since they were so early in the Atari lifecycle. Parker Brothers - Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back - I've played a fair amount of this but it is way too repetitive and gets boring quickly. Imagic - Atlantis - Beautiful graphics but tired gameplay. I considered Fire Fighter but not sure that it's rated highly enough to be overrated. Coleco - Donkey Kong Jr. - I'll give it credit for 3 screens but wow is this game ugly. Donkey Kong is not only better looking but way more fun to play. MNetwork - Burgertime - Maybe they should get credit for what they were able to do but it's disappointing, especially considering how good most of their other ports are.
  22. I would love to see a picture of that!
  23. I saw this in the back of one of my Intellivision catalogs. Makes me wonder what else might have been planned or even started... Some of these were released with different titles. Monster Truck Rally became Stadium Mud Buggies and of course Spiker! was released. Super Pro Billiards and Choplifter were released much later by enthusiasts. However, is there a version of European Bike Rally (or did this become Motocross) or Super Pro Auto Racing or Super Pro Horse Racing or Karateka or Flight Simulator floating around out there? Also, can't help but wonder was might have been planned, if anything, behind that elusive "and more" teaser
