  1. I've been thinking about ordering from that site, but need to save up, I always find more stuff every time I look
  2. Here is a fun thing to do, go to this guys listings and search his video games listings for the word "rare", make sure to click in title and description. When I just did it, guess how many of his 147 video game listings came up with "rare" in them?? Even his listing for 2 RF to coaxial TV adapters are "rare" Answer== all of them 147 out of 147
  3. I bought one awhile back and mine won't work down I think? Sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't. Yurkie gave me a set of instructions for taking them apart and cleaning them... When I find the time to do it, I plan to do a photo shoot of step by step along with the instructions...
  4. It sure is a pretty whole lot of nothing If you have a friend on your Live account who has played it too, it is supposed to unlock something...
  5. Honestly I don't know how many extra lives you can accumulate on Galaga. As Nukey mentioned pinball, last year I played Demolition Man for well over an hour on 50 cents, I kept getting free games. I had to turn it over to my friends boy friend as it was time to bowl and he lost all the credits in about 5 mins
  6. About 10 years ago I was taking some classes at a local community college, between classes a friend and I would go hang out in the Rec Center. Playing Pool, and some of the cabs they had. There was a Galaga cocktail near a bunch of couches and the pool table. We would see this one guy playing it from time to time always for long periods, normally from across the room. This time we were playing pool, gave him the normal nod, he gets up and leaves. We continue playing pool, yet we are hearing Galaga, which is weird as none of the games had attract mode turned on. We walked over to see what was up. The guy was at like level 60 and had tons of guys stacked up, so the game continued to play. One of us tried to play his game and we just died and died and died...
  7. They basically did the same crap with Battlefield Bad Company 2...
  8. I downloaded this as soon as I saw it was available. It is a nice mash up between old school NFS and Burnout, I think this will be pretty bad ass with multiple friends playing Cops and Robbers
  9. Agreed, I do what I can for my Little Brother, my single mom did what she could for me. So I feel the need to help
  10. I'll have to check with my cousin, I just remember meeting the guy and learning that he had worked at Atari. After doing some googling I found this http://www.atariprotos.com/5200/software/blackbelt/blackbelt.htm and an AA thread that says he did 5200 Super Breakout...
  11. Besides, there are some pretty nice Coleco games out there for the 2600. Venture is good, and so is DK Junior. Hell, 2600 DK isn't nearly as bad as a lot of 2600 games. Back in the day it was a bona fide hit. Oh I totally agree I only had a 2600 and played the crap out of DK, but I was also an arcade rat so it was a huge disappointment to me as were most arcade ports.
  12. No GroovBee I had not, but now I have... No love for Alan Moss Sr? I met him once, he moved to Oregon in the mid 80's, my cousin was friends with his kids.
  13. Silly question, in this day and age is there any database of the Atari, Coleco, INTV programmers?? I know that the INTV guys are pretty vocal and open online. I have seen a few sites that list some games and the programmers. I have not seen a definitive list that is accurate and proven to be the truth. It is 30 years and counting, memories are fading, documents are gone. Something needs to be done to clear up these urban legends, and give proper credit while it can still be established
  14. Tempest are you referring to the 8bit computer versions or the gawd awful NES version, that Nintendo in their infinite wisdom continues to churn out, even though they are not arcade accurate. I understand at the time the NES could not handle all the screens, but common the GB DK had what 101 levels? Why can't Nintendo give us decent home ports of DK and DK Jr all ready?? As far as Coleco sandbagging other ports to the 2600 and INTV I agree with Scogey, why would they care if it sucked on the other systems, they made money from the 2600 and INTV sales. Plus with the CV being the superior version at the time, it would in my opinion help CV sales. Rumors I have came across say Nintendo programmers in Japan, actually programmed the DK games so who knows. I wouldn't think they would intentionally put out crappy ports no matter which system...
  15. This weekend I finally played the INTV version of DK, looks like hell, but plays ok until you have to jump a barrel, I tried and tried unless I was standing still. The timing to jump one on the run is impossible
