You can try contacting the guy that runs this mod service & see if he has modded them before.

I've heard good things from others here at Atari Age about the modding from this guy. I had my Sears Video Arcade 2 modded by Atari2600.com, but they no longer provide the mod service

maybe someone bought it from video 61 & is reselling it? They have the same graphic on the ebay listing as the video 61 site.Video61 is based in Minnesota (local to me) & the trakball ships from Lancaster California, so I dont think it's them.
-
Video 61 has had these on sale for awhile now on their site for $89.95. I am guessing that they are the seller of these on ebay. Unless you want to use a trakball on 2 button games I would just get the centipede TB hack. Also I'm sure someone here could mod your trakball for 2 button use at a better price than they're asking for this trakball.

I like this version better than the nes version. I think it's a fun arcade port.

Kung fu. I need to play tank command on a emulator to see if I would want a copy.
-
well wishes & have a speedy recovery. The XM can wait, your health is far more important.
-
Bob will be missed. Thanks for all the great games & good luck on your future endeavors.
-
Will you still be selling these when the XM comes out? I can ship a Jinks doner cart if needed. I'm waiting till I have a XM in hand before getting games, but I don't want to miss this awesome port of DK.
-
Cool, My first experince with Colecovision was finding one in an ex-girlfriends closet & cleaning it up & playing it.
-
You can also use a DVD recorder with a HDMI out to do the samething, if you already have one laying around. I may get one of these for my other TV sometime soon.
-
Seen this movie again a few months ago for the first time since the 80's. Streamed it on Netflix.

Man the sprites look great! A XM version with these Sprites & improved sound on a cart with a nice label would be awesome. Wish I had the know how to do it. Never liked the plain white label for this game.
-
Wow! $3000 for A vs P. I have one I'm willing to part with for $3000. LMAO! People are just crazy sometimes on ebay.
-
You may also want to check Best Electronics for getting your controllers upgraded if needed once you get your. System. Also check out Atarimax for their multicart.

Same here... I know Curt seemed busy with the book and all... I curious about the XM myself.
Is there going to be a Crystal Castles port for the XM? That would be awesome. Hope it has trakball support if possible when it comes out.
I'm not sure how you get to Crystal Castles from the mention of a book.I grabed the wrong quote. Someone Mentioned Bently Bear. My bad lol. I have searched other treads & found nothing about a Crystal Castles in development

Berzerk is a great arcade port. Probably my favorite, kinda hard as there are several games I like just as much.

Love that the 7800 version has Ralph in it.

Used a DVD recorder to hook my S-video modded 2600 to my bedroom lcd TV via theHDMI output since my set didn't have a S-video in. Has a good pic that way, but it does get some digital grain look in black. Works great on Jag as well.
-
I have hooked up my Jag up to my DVD recorder via S video & outputed through HDMI & it looked great. I haven't tried it yet with my S video modded 2600.

The TGI Fridays I went to last had a 5200 controller mounted on the wall. I know that controller didn't work. Lol

I love buying from my local stores (Game Traders in Flea World, The Hobby Spot on Fairbanks Ave), I like the fact they're there and I want to support them. I guess I've been lucky and haven't run into the whole "let me check ebay price" stuff. That would tick me off. I picked up a bunch or buy 2 get 1 free 8-bit carts a few months ago. It applied to everything - sealed 7800 games, NES games, 2600 games which were all $1 anyways. Pretty good deal.
These stores need loyalty from their customers in order to survive, it's a shame some of them are ticking off the people they really need.
I have been getting stuff from game trader @ fleaworld for years. Decent prices & if something doesn't work the owner will give you store credit with no hassles. Always have something different there everytime I go. I would recommend them to anyone in the Orlando area. Haven't been there in awhile though as I don't get over that way much anymore. I will have to check out the Hobby spot here one day.

Sorry I forgot to say on the last post that this controller or one like this would be awesome to be able to buy @ the AA store vs the redemption. Though I don't know if this controller would be harder/more costly than the redemption was to make. Very nice controller though.

Too bad that there isn't a way to just create a new and better 5200 controller from currently available parts from electronic stores.
well you kind of can if you have a well stocked electronic store
i made this

basically some wire a couple 500k potentiometers a happ joysitck some arcade type buttons
a couple plugs and a case
oh yea and a 2600 touchpad

Got a chance to play the latest update & wow! looks really good. Can't wait to play it on real hardware, even if I have no sound till the XM is complete. This is the best upgrade to a existing game on a classic console that I've seen by far. Great work Perry!
