WTB: New Atari 5200 console in box, or CIB in clean, near mint condition!
orrimarrko replied to orrimarrko's topic in Wanted
The reason I wanted the 4 port is because there are a few games that can't be played on the 2-port system. Otherwise, I wouldn't care. It doesn't have to be new necessarily, as long as cosmetically, and useage-wise, it's in like new condition. I just want one that is clean, not banged up at all, includes everything, and everything works. That's all. -
Has anyone ever seen one of these in the last ten years?

Seriously though... Does anyone have one of these? -
Man this is sweet! I would definitely buy one if I could locate one!!

Wanted: NEW Atari 5200 games, or CIB in mint condition

I didn't ask this question but boy I was seriously going to ask it tonight almost word for word. Thanks for the info although not actually directed at me it was perfect. Thanks Steve. Bruce No problem man! It dawned on me when I was considering how I wanted to approach collecting for the 2600. 5200 collecting was simple - CIB, sealed when possible, and must be minty. For the 2600, I would love to collect CIB, but that would just be crazy on three counts: space needed, cost involved, and availability. Not to mention, what about variants? So, here's what I came up with. Collect loose and manual, both cart/label and manual must be near mint. That way, acquiring variants would be cheaper and easier, and require less space. They'd be easily accessible to play and display. Over time, I will work on completing CIB subsets (by publisher.) The first one I'm working on is Avalon Hill - no variants, relatively small set (5 games) with only one toughie. So when I got my 100+ manuals last night, I was seeing a lot of doubles, but they weren't the same. There were a lot of "different doubles" or triples. For example, I'd get the US/English manual for some Coleco games, but also would get the multi-language version. It dawned on me that it would be cool to try to put together cart and manual for each set. I just had no idea of what went with what, and as great as AA.com is, it doesn't have that info. Also, I checked the huge list of Atari 2600 variations, but that didn't say either. I figured that the date matching would at least be a start. We'll see how it goes! Thanks everyone. Steve

I don't know how else to phrase that in the title bar... I just bought a couple of large manual lots, and when I got them, there were several different manuals for the same game(s). What I was wondering, is there a site/link/reference guide out there that identifies what version of the manual goes with each release of a particular title. Allow me to give a couple of examples: 1. I received two manuals for Tanks but No Tanks (one color, one black & white.) Now, I know that they released the color versions first, and then the b&w versions later, to save money. I don't believe that there were multiple releases of the cart, so that would mean that the manual goes with the one cart (either color or b&w.) No mystery there. 2. I received 2 versions of Armor Ambush (one larger, and in color, one smaller on different paper, black & white.) I know that there are at least three versions of the manual, and at least as many of the cart. No idea which goes with which. Perhaps I'm wrong. 3. I received 3 versions of Enduro. One color, one b&w, and one color, but in 5 languages. I know there was a regular green labeled cart, a blue labeled cart, and a cart label with multiple languages. Anyone know if the manuals were specific to a cart type? 4. I received some Atari corp manuals (Galaxian, Dig Dug, RS Volleyball, Pole Position, Moon Patrol) that were b&w and in 5 languages. What cart did these come with? 5. White background, color Atari manuals (Moon Patrol, Dig Dug, Jungle Hunt, Pole Position, Battlezone). My assumption is that these were the original manuals when these titles were released. What cart goes with each of these? Silver? Atari Inc? I'm thinking that for the most part, the date on the cart and the date on the manual would match (and Atari Inc vs. Atari Corp). Any help is appreciated. My plan is to get the carts that go with the manuals. Thanks, Steve

I believe I have some of these. Thinking around 10 or so. I'll check in my storage this weekend and see if they are still there. Sweet!

Over 200 boxed 2600 games for sale

I'm looking for one of the following: 1. NIB 5200 system. Must either be sealed or opened to inspect contents. Cannot be dirty or have other signs of wear. Cellophane on bexels must be present. All cables and paperwork must be included. Outer box can have some general wear, but nothing major. Controllers must truly be new. 4-port is preferred, but I would consider a 2-port as well. OR 2. CIB system with everything as above. I'm basically saying that if it's been used, but is in like-new condition, clean, etc. I will consider it. 4-port is preferred, but I would consider a 2-port as well. Pics are required, and my email address is [email protected] if you want to send me some. This is a serious inquiry; I'm not expecting to pay $50. Thanks, Steve

Brokeback Atari! ALL GONE, SHIPPING IN TWO WEEKS TIME!
orrimarrko replied to Shawn's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
If you have to ask, then you are better off and probably don't want to know. LOL! Hey Chickbaby, I know what it looks like, but I couldn't figure out what it really was. Yikes! -
Oh yea, she's a winner for sure!! Even if all she did was support my gaming addiction she would be a keeper, but add on the fact that she refuses to drive anything that's not a V8 and prefers a manual tranny and I've found the perfect woman for me!! Fortunately, we were just in Vegas over the weekend and she ended up with a nice pearl and diamond necklace, so I think I'm good. May add the flowers into the mix just to make sure!! I have every intention of doing so! She ended up with a pearl necklace? (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Does anyone know where I can find plastic pages for manuals like this?
orrimarrko replied to orrimarrko's topic in Atari 2600
Yeah, I sent him a pm but never heard back from him... Must be busy. -
I didn't know if anyone already knew this, though on this site, I'm sure someone already knew. Originally, I thought there was just a color manual and a b&w manual. However, I have three different manuals for at least two of the four Zimag games. 1. Color manual, glossy paper. 2. Black & White, glossy paper. 3. Black & White, cheap flat paper. I received the third kind today. At first, I thought it was a photocopy, but you can tell that it isn't. They just cut WAY back on costs, and the manual was an easy place to start. I thought some of the variant hunters here could use the information. If I can help out with additional info, just let me know. Orri~

I'm still waiting to hear back from you. Please let me know when you have a minute. Thanks, Steve -
Now, now Marco - that was a thinly veiled attempt to skirt the answer... Can you lend any assistance on the original question? Thanks, Steve

No it's not mine. I don't know whose it is. It's listed as NTSC on Atariage and PAL on Atarimania. http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html...areLabelID=1151 http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...ERSION_ID=17165 Might be the same scan too. So, can anyone confirm if that Karate is NTSC or PAL?
