Brokeback Atari! ALL GONE, SHIPPING IN TWO WEEKS TIME!
orrimarrko replied to Shawn's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
What the hell is that in the picture in the first post? -
Yep, noob question here. So, the NTSC Mangia is super rare from everything I've read, and the box & manual are rarer still. I've come to the understanding that the cart (NTSC/PAL) look the same, and the screenshot will determine whether its NTSC or PAL. What I don't know is about the box and manual. Are there any differences at all? Can you tell by looking at them? I ask because in the 2600 rarity guide, there's a scan of the box. Is it the NTSC box, or the PAL box? Who provided the box to scan (or the scan)? (Just curious.) Thanks for any information. Steve

Unfortunately, I'm retentive about condition (as some of you are undoubtedly), and choose to add carts with near mint/mint labels to my collection. (Same for manuals.) My question is - for those who care a lot about condition, what suggestions do you have as to finding/locating/purchasing loose carts in said condition? Ebay lots are typically filled with crappy carts, and even the individually sold games can be kind of rough. I'm just curious as to routes others have had success with, when looking to add carts in excellent condition to their collection. Thanks in advance. Orri~

Right now, I'm just starting with NTSC. I would love to collect boxed/complete games (and I'm tempted constantly), but it's pretty unaffordable. I figured that most of the carts could go in the music mate cubes that I have (and am trying to accumulate), but for more expensive ones, I wasn't sure if that would be the best way to display them. He knows. http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=120878 LOL - yep. I actually saw this a long time ago, and thought it was the coolest thing ever: http://www.bloatedmonkey.com/ (Click on the Atari link, and then the "pictures" link)... So, naturally, the MusicMate cubes idea is where I've decided to go. I only have 24 of them, and know that I'll need a lot more. The reason I asked is because I'm extremely picky about condition, and don't know if I would want to put rare/more expensive games in the cubes. (Hence the original question.)

Wanted: NEW Atari 5200 games, or CIB in mint condition

Pardon for asking (anyone who knows can answer), but what is "Birthday Mania"? I don't see that title, or Red Sea Crossing or Gamma Attack in the rarity guide here on AA.com. I'm just curious; I haven't heard of those before. Thanks!

I'm having a tough time deciding on complete (box, manual, cart, etc) or just loose cart collecting. I realize that it's somewhat unrealistic to expect to complete a collection of complete games at this point, so I'm leaning towards loose games and manuals. If I'm able to get boxed games along the way, great, but it wouldn't be essential. What I'm curious about, is displaying the carts. I'm wondering for all of you loose cart collectors, or those who have expensive loose carts - do you "bag" them? I know that you can buy those small bags to protect the loose carts, but it detracts from the display (in my opinon.) Does anyone use these? If so, how do you display them? Does anyone have pics of their loose collection that uses something intersting to display them/protect them? Thanks a bunch! Steve

Basically, I'm looking for mint/near mint condition (no less than 9 out of 10) boxed 5200 games. If they're sealed, that's fine, but condition of the box has to the the same. They have to be complete for sure, and the box has to be in great condition. If you have any for sale, please let me know the title, box condition, and your asking price. I already have the following in minty condition: Astro Chase (sealed) BallBlazer (sealed) Choplifter (sealed) Dreadnaught Factor (CIB) Gremlins (sealed) MegaMania (CIB) Pitfall! (sealed) Star Trek S.O.S. (sealed) Super Cobra (sealed) Other than that - I need 'em! Thanks very much! Steve

Looking for Music Mate cubes that aren't broken, disfigured or otherwise nasty. Started with 5 in early February, and currently have 73 with 8 more on the way. I NEED MORE FOLKS! PM me or send me an email to: [email protected] if you have any that you're looking to part with. Thanks, Steve

For Sale: Strategy Guide collection - take a look!

Yep - things continue to suck! Unfortunately my money issues are still around, so I'm selling off the majority of my video game strategy guide collection. I have great references here, on ebay (no_anchovies), cheapassgamer.com (Orrimarrko), and digitpress.com (Orrimarrko). I feel that I'm selling these guides at very reasonable prices, and since I need the money, please don't try to offer less than the amount posted, unless you are buying bulk. Shipping is $3.00 ($1 for the mailer and $2 for shipping) for the 1st guide and .50¢ for each additional guide. I accept only Paypal at [email protected], and I am not looking to trade. Please just private message me or email to [email protected] if you are interested in any number of guides or have any questions. I will get back with you in a very timely manner. Thanks for looking!
