  1. Yep, WIZ is the one that told me these were up for sale. I didn't get online until later this evening and missed them. No worries. Just a bummer, that's all.
  2. Steve, the first run of 5200 boxes had a very reflective sheen to them, giving them a sort of "brushed aluminum" appearance. Even the blue stripe and Atari logo are reflective. Very nice looking IMO. Here's a side by side shot of Super Breakout. The "aluminum" version on the left, the standard silver version on the right. I only have these games in the 1st style box: Super Breakout Missle Command Star Raiders Space Invaders Galaxian Ooooh! Thanks for the side-by-sides Ghost. Totally different. Now I have something else to look for!
  3. Where in the production lifespan were the AV Computer System boxes released? What was the progression of the boxes? (I'm sure someone knows.) Thanks, Steve
  4. I was wondering what took you so long... The answer is, of course, because they wish they had NTSC too. It's a matter of jealousy. (JUST KIDDING)
  5. What I wanted to know, if anyone can help, is about the cart labels. Does anyone know which boxes the cart labels with the full colored "tv screens" came in? Some of the labels have "white" backgrounds for the sky (for example), and some have blue. There's a version of Freeway with multiple colors, instead of just red, yellow and white. Does anyone know what I mean? If so (hopefully), what version of boxes did these come in?
  6. God bless him! And you're damn right about my Pens!! If they can just stay healthy, look out!!
  7. Was this a recent ebay lot? Less than a month or so ago? I think this is the one I was eyeballing and did not get a chance to enter a second bid while I was at work Separate lots. The Waterworld came in a lot that ended within the last two weeks. The Star Ship lot ended a lot more recently...
  8. I recently got the cart, and need the box. Here's a front and back link if you think you might have one: (front) http://www.atarimania.com/zoom_frame.php?T...amp;NUM_IMAGE=1 (back) http://www.atarimania.com/zoom_frame.php?T...amp;NUM_IMAGE=2 If you have one that looks nice, please let me know! Thanks, Steve
  9. At least to me, anyway... Got this Star Ship: http://www.atarimania.com/zoom_frame.php?T...amp;NUM_IMAGE=3 (still unsure about the story on the label - can anyone explain?) and I bought a lot of games for $41 plus shipping, and got a Swordquest: Waterworld (cart in great shape) surrounded by a bunch of crap. Perhaps not much to most, but I thought they were sweet! Orri~
  10. According to the following thread, 20 "Special Edition" Flip and Flop carts were made, and 85 "Standard Version" carts were produced. The differences are detailed in the first post: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=78585 ..Al Al, Thanks for the info. (Unfortunately, the links and pics are no longer available.) One question to anyone who knows: Are Flip & Flop and Rent Wars considered homebrews or conversions? Thanks, Steve
  11. Worth mentioning, but I don't think I'm going to include that. Reason being, anyone who does conversions can number them, but they're basically the same. Much different than say, the limited edition of Adventure II, and the regular cart still for sale. Thanks for the info though. Orri~
  12. What made it a "Special Edition"? I believe they all came with a box and manual. My Rent Wars is labeled 52/100. My Flip and Flop is a special edition labeled "10 of 20". The Bristles I got with it is labeled "59 of 100"; I also have Bristles 79 of 100. I don't have the boxed versions of any other games. Hope this helps. Wow - I can't imagine that Flip & Flop was only limited to 20. Can anyone else confirm a higher number? If not, that's pretty amazing that they would only do such a short run. Thanks for the info dude.
  13. I'd like to get on the list please. EDIT: 2 copies please. Thanks, Orri~

  15. Does anyone know if Flip and Flop, Rent Wars, Koffi (boxed version), Castle Blast, Klax, Combat II Advanced or Haunted House II 3-D are limited/numbered? Thanks everyone, Steve
  16. My Choplifter is Atari, Inc 1984, but what I was curious about is, are all of these you've listed Atari, Corp re-releases? I've taken out Gremlins, BallBlazer and Rescue on Fractalus because they were only released as Atari, Corp. I'm not sure I see the "aluminum" box distinction that you're talking about. Does anyone have a side-by-side photo comparison? Thanks, Steve
  17. Did anyone knoow that these were out there? I'd never heard of, or seen any of these, until today. In a boxed game lot, I got a CIB Dig Dug. The box is slightly different, the manual is a little different, and the cart label is diffferent (grey, and glossy.) Does anyone know about other Atari Corp 5200 games? Steve
  18. I replied, but haven't heard back from you...
