Good (relatively)cheap games for the TG16?
tpugmire replied to A_Locomotive's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Not sure how you feel about doing a region mod, but there are a bunch of pc engine games that are cheaper than their U.S. counterparts, even with shipping. Check out the various Bomberman games. R Type is a good cheap game too. -
In Marvel Ultimate Alliance, you get to play the 2600 version of Pitfall as whatever character you have at the time. It's in one of Arcade's (The villian, not the game.) levels.

I'm relatively sure that the CX40 pcb from Best will work on CX10's. I don't think the handle would work though.
-
Both have the spring.

Just bridge the gap using a paper clip or something and see if the light comes on. If it does, replace the fuse.

Noob question: How do you get the 1050 drive to work?

Where did you try selling locally? I'm in Utah and have been looking for one! -
Need advice on a comfortable GameCube controller

I don’t have a controller on me at the moment to measure, but you're going to need an extension cable to get 12 feet. -
Its in the MAIL! What Are You Waiting For!
tpugmire replied to A2600's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I've been waiting for over 2 months for some Famicom handbill reproductions from Canada. I think they got lost during the postal strike though... -
I use vgcollect.com. It's a relatively new site and it has pretty much every platform out there including arcades. There is a android app that works in conjunction with the website. I'm a little biased because I work there, but it's the best thing that I have come across yet.
-
Would you be willing to break up the lot? I've been looking for a floppy drive for a while.
-
Bump. Still looking.
-
I've seen that, but I'm looking for a scan of the actual box for a website I'm working on. Thanks though!
-
I have nothing to add other than... TROGDOR!!
-
Can anyone direct me to a relatively high quality scan of the front and back of the box without watermarks for Space Invaders for the 400/800? I've searched everywhere I can think of and can't find anything.

Probably dirty games. Have you replaced the 72 pin connector? Does this happen with any other games or just these 3?

Just got a Magnavox CDI...now what?

The part next to the CD door comes off and you can see where it should be. -
Does anyone else use FAQ/Walkthroughs for Zelda?
tpugmire replied to Bartsfam's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The only time I've used a walkthrough on a Zelda game is for one small part on Oracle of Seasons that I couldn't figure out. Other that that, I've beaten all the ones I have played without walkthroughs. -
Best Electronics does sell replacement cables. I've bought a few. Seems like they were kind of expensive though...
-
I'm actually playing it now. For some reason, I break it out around the holidays each year.

Glowing blue USB retro 2600 style joysticks....

Any update on making versions that can be used on 2600's? -
I have a similar deal with a couple of Play N Trade stores around here. I buy old broken systems and controllers from them. They don't know how to fix much of anything except the new stuff, so I get a pretty good deal.
-
Those ones you found on eBay are the new style 3rd party sticks. They have upgraded internals, so supposedly they don't wear out as fast. I have a few myself, although I bought them from a different source, and they are great.
