  1. Cedar Point theme park here in Ohio has had to close a few days in the week due to not having enough employees. Even though they are paying $20 an hour. So come to Ohio if you want to make about $40k/year making overpriced munchies for families or tearing tickets at the roller coaster. Not making light of their work, I am sure it's hard, as most jobs are. Rent is cheap in Ohio. $700-$800 a month in most areas will get you a nice apartment with a pool, gym, etc..

People just don't want to work...And people are getting too much unemployment,...Not to say too much, but honestly (some) people made more not working than I made working the whole time through the pandemic.  We've had a tough time keeping the restaurant where I work staffed...

Maybe I should move to Ohio?  hehaaa...Remember the movie Adventureland?  He said he wanted to work "Rides" but they made him work "Games".  And for the whole rest of the movie his shirt said, Games Games Games Games...Heh

Cedar Point has traditionally relied on international employees to staff their park. Given the current pandemic, that lifeline isn't available to them right now. Some of the amusement parks nearby are also having staffing issues, though nowhere near this extent.
