  1. Hi, look at this site http://www.crowcastle.net/preston/atari/ maybe you can port the version sio2pc for linux. I think MACOS X is based on unix, so maybe it's usefull...
  2. Hmm mp3 playing on the JAG is nice, I also use it alot as normal CD player. I just want to use the JAG also for non-gaming... Secondly I think the biggest problem is that the JAG doesn't support a normal format like ISO9660 or other format that makes it very easy to create CD's Ofcourse a nice emulator for the JAG would be cool but I have seen that programming for the JAG is pretty hard, and there is almost no option to program in 'C', PASCAL or other language then ML. So a lot of people don't program the JAG. 'C' would be cool for porting software from other systems.
  3. Does KODAK still have them? They don't use them anymore I think or do they? Maybe contact them...
  4. Just one thing I can say... GOOD JOB! This looks real good...
  5. I wonder if there where made some hardware mods/upgrades for the 2600 in the past. Like extra RAM, maybe some I/O or other things...
  6. Hi, I got the Starcat Developments Jaguar Library Code and I am gonna try to code something for the Jaguar. Would be great to find more libs like this on the internet. This is very usefull information for beginners. Are there also some game engines free for download beginners can use or download to see how things can be done or work? http://www.atari-jaguar64.de/prog_info/library/
  7. Hi, Is there someone who has an ATW800 for sale or knows where I can find one?
  8. I go along with these 2... MP - many hours on Kennedy Approach AH - many many hours on Telenguard Kennedy Approach was good for that time but the graphics where bad. The best games I have seen where written in Poland... One game KARATEKA from Broderbund was very good but was to slow to play. Hmm just went thru my disks and found SPY HUNTER this was also a game that I played alot... The Best ATARI CORP. game was TIGER ATTACK I think one of the ganes Atari released that was of good quality
  9. Hi, I wonder if the JAG with CD (when programmed right ofcourse) could do: - View KODAK photo CD's - Play MP3 files with use of the DSP, just like the Falon030 - Play movies other then CINEPAK. The Jaguar has some powerfull chips, databus runs at 100Mhz and has a DSP. I have seen things on the FALCON030 that I would think the JAG can do aswell or am I wrong about this?
  10. I had the samething my cd-player came with the boat from the US and this kind of shipping is not very good for a cd-player but did save me a lot of money... But when I opened it and wanted to boot a game it did nothing.. I found out that the problem was that the laser was stuck. I gently moved the laser a little to the outside and turned back on the Jag. The I started and did see the laser was re-positioning and from that time my JAG reads all the CD's without problems. Maybe the laser got in this position due to transportation... Mine does work again... Maybe it would help but be carefull... not to damage the CD-player...

hmm looks good gonna make this mod on one of mine 2600... What is the best system to update: 2600 (wood) 2600 Dark vader 2600 jr
  12. Datasoft for sure they did both serious software and games. I like there BASIC compiler for sure... it's outdated now but sometimes it's still nice to program in BASIC and convert it to ML, nice tool for lazy programmerz... :
  13. Hmm any info about PureC-project, you mean there is way to use it to create simple programs for the JAG? This would be cool!
  14. Where can I find info about this mod for the Supercharger cart. And what can you do extra after this mod?
  15. Okay will take a look at your list. HAPPY NEWYEAR! For all I wll be back on this board after 2-jan-2003...
  16. Hmm there are some cool musix: I like the music in: SONIC REBOUND TRIX Just because they make you feel you want to play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play and play more..... Until you you need some sleep after 40 hours...

  19. Hi, The XE series where release overhere. The 65XE with both cartridge and ECI port, the 130XE and 800XE (65XE only new release from china with GTIA bug) The 600XL/800XL where released. The 400/800 where released but harder to get. I have a 400 NTSC but looking for a 400 PAL. I have already a 800 PAL + 810 drive. Stuff I like: 1400XL 1450XLD Diskdrives non 1050 or XF551 I have already INDUS GT, RANA 1000, TRAK, PERCOM, AMDEK 3", but still interested... Hardware kits like bitwriter for 1050 Hardware upgrades like memory upgrades, other hardware made there. Covox, computer eyes, parrot, ICD MIO 1Mb have already the 256Kb. Turbo 816 Just let me know what you have to offer I will tell you what I like. TXG/MNX
  20. Hmm what do you use in Sweden PAL or NTSC? I only heard of imported systems from the US. By changing the ANTIC you can use a 1200XL in the PAL area but you only have monochrome output then. Otherwise a lot of other modification have to be done.
  21. I agree that totally rulez! Would love to see ports from bomberman like games, Frogger, Centipede, Pac-man to the JAG! Have played a bomberman and frogger a long time ago on the Falcon030 I think and that was real fun!
  22. yep would be really cool to run a working TOS on the JAG with an option to switch graphics modes.
  23. For $2.00 you get 1 box? On ebay you can get sometimes a complete game for it... I hope you will find some people that will buy these from you...
  24. Game maker software is mostly not very usefull. Because the 2600 has just a 2K rom space an less ram. A game maker would create not very effective source. When you can write one that can optimize output code then maybe. But I still think for these kind of machines hand-made programs are the best. For the 7800 you have atleast 32Kb I think, that can do with a less optimized program. TXG/MNX
