Vpn an eas security is not needed at home with a console. Are you afraid something evil will happen when the jaguar runs unsecure over the internet ? Look at it to open the world of multiplay on jaguar. Sent from UMI hammer with Tapatalk

Vpn is really not needed why just a plain tcp/ip connection would be great. Just setup a port and ip to connect two player. For more then two you can decide to run it on a jaguar or gameserver pc/mac/raspberrypi. I don't think the Jaguar would be a good target for hacking. Just make sure the Jaguar is behind your router firewall you be safe... Sent from UMI hammer with Tapatalk

Jaguar CD Unleashed: the CD BIOS emulation project

Very nice seems you msking progress and having fun at the same time :-) Sent from UMI hammer with Tapatalk -
When there is tcp/ip support the jag can connect over the internet if you require vpn that can be done with external hardware devices. Tcp/ip would be more then enough. I did suggest an option that would run the tcp/ip stack on the embedded chip to offload this of the Jaguar, and makes it just easy in/out data and allows due to that higher transferspeed. I do like the idea of a portal to connect to download new releases of software or updates. Sent from UMI hammer with Tapatalk

3D printing is nice but I read that the plastic used in 3D printer cannot handle high temperatures compared to plastc made by molds. So a cartshell in sunlight could get damaged quicker. What are your experiences with that ? Sent from UMI hammer with Tapatalk

I hope so it will emulate carts.Normal carts when coded right they would work with Jagcd. Sent from UMI hammer with Tapatalk

Ah ok I knew the flashcard and memorytrack were 8-bit the cdbios ok noted Sent from UMI hammer with Tapatalk

Sorry typo. Corrected it. 64-bit is supported ? so both read/write 64-bit or is that different ? And what would be the max speed you could get in read mode and write mode ?

Hi, According to one document the Jaguar support a bus with of 8,16,32bit But in that manual is a note that only a dev jaguar with stubulator ROM is supporting 32-bit wide cartridges. Is this still true or does the Jaguar support 32-bit carts ? In another document I read: MEMCON1 bit 0 ROMHI bit 1,2 ROM Width 0=8,1=16,2=32,3=64 Bit 3,4 ROM Speed 0=10 clock cycles, 1=8, 2=6,3=5 And ROM or EPROM is used for bootstrap and for cartridges. The ROM speed is programmable. The memory controller allows the system to view ROM as 64-bit wide. Pull-up and Pull-down resistors determine the ROM with during reset. Which ROM cart bus with is supported 32 or 64 bit ? When a ROM is set to 32-bit or 64-bit width is that for both read/write ?

Nice to see this done already great job. Sent from UMI hammer with Tapatalk -
Check do pins to see if there is any voltage on the capacitors no light means no power mostly. When you used the wrong power you must notice some damage on the board. Sent from UMI hammer with Tapatalk

I will be there bring your jaguar + monitor/tv + aircars/battlesphere and jaglink(2)/catbox/scatbox would like to setup 8-player aircars network and when possible 16-player battlesphere... Also we can test out the DOOM networking fix done by Songbird. Sent from UMI hammer with Tapatalk -
6MB is nice but still limited I think. I still don't understand why there is still a lack of expansions on the Jaguar like on any other Atari console... Most Atari consoles have freaking advanced hardware like SD, Ethernet (Atari 8-bit) and CPU upgrade / speeders and massive memory upgrades up-to 32MB and multiflash cards with 128MB. I think the jaguar could benefit from a new cartridge, that could add more memory (banked) to the machine, an SD slot and an Ethernet connection (as exampe I would suggest an W5100 this is an embedded chip that has it own TCP/IP stack and is very easy to interface) Adding all this to one cartridge would make an easy upgrade for people, and it could bring bigger games, or games with better/hq graphics because the memory limitation and CD speed limitation is history. I would support anyone who is capable to design this cart.

Thanx for the fixes.
