  1. So I calculated the price with your estimates, and it turns out my lot is worth 1100$!!! OMGWTFBBQ!111!!!1!!111!!1!111!

And NC is an Engrish... sorry English version... I'm gonna post some pics

Correct, when sold separate. As a group they always sell for less. This is because collectors have to part out the items they do not want. Keep that in mind.

    I uploaded some pics

  2. PICS!!!

    In my Neo Geo

Proof that it's an engrish copy(not a good example of engrish in the game, although I've seen stuff like "LIGHT NOW", "CANSEL" instead of Cancel or "BRITEIN" instead of Britain)

If it's that rare and pricey... will it fit in this box?

  3. All of that should cost around $1400 - $1500. I'd say you got yourself a pretty great deal!

    That's a little high...

Last year, I purchased a near mint, CIB Neo-Geo with 6 near mint games for 300 Swiss Francs (which was about 300 Dollars).

Turns out my Neo has a pretty low serial number, and some of the games are considered pretty rare.

Can somebody tell me the REAL price of this machine?

    Here's what I got

    -a Neo-Geo AES complete in box (SN=028034)

    -Magician Lord

    -Ninja Commando

    -Mutation Nation

    -Sengoku 2

    -Art of Fighting

    -World Heroes 2

    Thanks :D

You don't say if the games are english or japanese, that does factor for value. I have everything here but Ninja Commando (if you have the Dog Tag version it's on my want list, please let me know if you intend to sell and we can make a good deal as it's the last Dog Tag I need for my collection).

    Assuming English:

-a Neo-Geo AES complete in box (SN=028034) $300 (less if JPN)

-Magician Lord $20 - $30 (more if JPN)

-Ninja Commando $300 - $400 (less if JPN)

    -Mutation Nation $100

    -Sengoku 2 $120 - $200 (lower end for JPN)

    -Art of Fighting $40 - $50

    -World Heroes 2 $40

As a group, depending on condition I would say a solid $900 - $1000. Likely to get more parting it out. I search Neo Geo on eBay daily and have a collection of english only AES games numbering over 60 titles at this point.

  5. Acclaim & Midway! (later 90's-2000's)

I'm soory to say that these two were pretty bad! Even LJN & earlyT-HQ*, and Culture Brain games were much better!

Midway, as the company went into the 3D gaming era, the characters where too repetitive and had limited quotes to say! Most did the same physical movements and dull actions! I never thought that they were into spending time and polishing their games!

Acclaim was the same thing! With the exception of DD II & iii, and Bigfoot! When they did the Legends of Wrestling Series they just did a terrible job! But as a wrestling fan, I accepted it for what it was!

No wonder WWE let Acclaim & Midways contracts expire, because they were not good games! Thankfully T-HQ* does a hell of a better job then those two!

    Anthony....

whawhahwhawhawhawhaWHAAAAAAAAAAT! How DARE you pick on Culture Brain?!? They made my favorite NES game (The Magic of Scheherazade) Their "Super Chinese" games such as "Kung-Fu Master" or "Little Ninja Brothers" were great, even though KFM ripped off Mario sounds

  6. Are you sure that's not what came in the box? Mine is exactly the same. Heavy Sixer image with a Light Sixer inside. The serial numbers on the box, inside cardboard inserts and console all match.

Agreed, I have had several 6 switchers with the heavy box and light units inside. Only way to tell is if the serial numbers match.

Do your boxes have a picture of a little chess piece on it? Those were the ACTUAL heavy sixer boxes

  7. Here they are! I had the opportunity to take some pictures during the showcase :D

post-27566-0-28341800-1337784055_thumb.jpg First, there was Pitfall, my favorite game. I put it in there to show the capabilities of the system in 1982, when ET was released

post-27566-0-46471100-1337784081_thumb.jpg My classmates, playing Combat. The girl has won

post-27566-0-37315800-1337784200_thumb.jpg Poor guy. He was the volunteer for ET

post-27566-0-57219300-1337784254_thumb.jpg The screen looked like this during 85% of his game play

post-27566-0-41709000-1337784311_thumb.jpg This guy was looking at the first Atari cart he ever saw

post-27566-0-98192700-1337784381_thumb.jpg That's me :D I took Frogger as an extra in order to show a good 2600 arcade port. Somebody actually recognized the game

post-27566-0-22373900-1337784434_thumb.jpg That's me too... This time I'm playing Frogger

Overall, everyone participated. They were interested in the Atari and the presentation. The two that played Combat really liked it, and, in fact, ALL my class liked my presentation/showcase... Maybe some of 'em will start playing Atari :).

  8. Everything went perfectly, apart from my paddles that jittered too much, so no Kaboom :_(

I actually brought some extras like Pitfall, Frogger or Demon Attack. My classmates actually chose to play Combat. Only 3 volunteers though, but all my classmates enjoyed looking at the ones playing Combat :)

Then the 3rd volunteer was "lucky" enough to play E.T. And sorry, Random Terrain, but he didn't like it :(. The whole class (including me) seemed to enjoy looking at him playing ET :D

Finally I showed my classmates me playing Frogger/Pitfall...

    Pictures coming soon :D

  9. Is it possible to fry in Stella?

EDIT: I didn't have an Atari growing up, but I used to glitch out NES games on purpose by pulling them out slightly. And down forget all those weird Ocarina of Time glitches I did in High School by pulling up part of the cart. One time, I remember my friends and I found the debug mode in Sonic 2 by pulling the cart up a little on the side, years later I learned the codes and realized what had happened. Not the same as frying, but still other cart system "hacks."

Yes it is. At least I can do it while holding backspace. You can set up the frying in the preferences (although I don't remember where it is)
