    How cool is that!!

I want one, but never found one at a decent price. I guess a guy used to bring them to the MGC (reasonable priced) but I never saw any... :(

Does the title screen on a Kousukusen say "Copyright Bandai XXXX" unlike the Us and Euro model that say "Copyright GCE/MB XXXX"

  2. Come on! If you are not going to bring in Pitfall at such a showcase you'll have to change your nickname over here! :-D

And have someone take a video and post it on youtube for us to see!

LOL Totally forgot about this one! I don't deserve my username :( Oh well I will take it anyway because it is such an iconic game

  3. Boxing, Fishing derby or Combat if you wanna play together.

Otherwise, there are some games with a special "Children mode" such as Warlords or Pac-Man.

I think she's gonna like Berzerk too. OH, AND PITFALL :D

That's all I'd recommend. But be careful when buying games. Your kid may find a copy of X-Man and he'd like to see Wolverine "in action" XD. No... just kidding.

  4. Hi everyone

    I found this cartridge today:

    nescart.jpg

I can't find any reference to this game in the NES list in the Digital Press Guide. I think it might be a prototype cartridge of a previously unreleased game. I've never seen a NES proto before, could this be one?

I found the cartridge here in the UK, and when I tried it on my UK NES, the title screen flashes (which is what usually happens with NTSC carts). The title screen states "Published by.." but then there's just blank space. The bottom of the title screen mentions Nintendo of America. So I think it's likely that it's NTSC format.

I believe that Beam Software programmed the 8-bit computer versions of this game, so it's plausible that they would have worked on a NES version. But until I can get access to a NTSC NES machine, or a suitable adaptor for my machine, I can't say how far they got with this.

If anyone's got any thoughts on this, that would be great.

    Thanks

    Jon

Disable the lockout chip on your NES. I've done this and all my NTSC games work perfectly

  5. How do you guys pronounce Sssnake? Is it a long S----- sound, or individual S's like someone stuttering, s-s-snake?

It's pronounced like a long S. The programmers wanted the consumer to get a good feeling of the game before buying it, so they added some s's to the word snake to induce the sensation of someone taking a piss. Personally I would do that Sss(nake) induced feeling on a copy of the game
