  1. Thanks. Yeah, I just don't think today/future gamers will appreciate the Atari for what it is and will think it's just too old of technology to have any fun with.

I don't think I have any real rare games. My for sale is listed in the Marketplace forum and I did list all of my games. Shipping won't be cheap either for the entire lot given the size and weight of the box. I use this same name on Ebay with 100% positive feedback. Maybe I will just try an auction on ebay and let it ride!

I'm 35. I also wonder when I should try to sell my other toys from my 80's childhood, like original Transformers figures and GI Joe, etc, most are in decent shape and have been boxed up for years. I have a Colecovision system too somewhere at my parents house.

Well im not one of them.im 15 and i LOVE retro games and systems like the Nes,Genesis,2600,Playstation,Master system,Gameboy,Gamegear,Lynx etc. Actually i like retro system and games more than modern games.I had fond memories of my Nes.My cousin gave me her Nes with 15 games and i loved it.remember playing Super Mario bros.3 with my sister on the Mario bros. arcade stage.remembers having to blow in the Nes carts too, great memories

Me too. I collect games since I found out about the NES (I was 8 ) and today Im 15, and I collected all those retro games for 7 years! It's like I'm the only one in my class that plays Pifall (hence my name) instead of Call of doody:Modern Warfart 3. And if I have kids, instead of letting them fall into their generation of Xboxes 1080s, Wii ys and PlayStation 5s (that is probably going to be the generation of consoles in 2025), I would teach them about the magic of Atari and Vectrex so those consoles will never die (I already "saved" my best friend from this stupid generation of gamers). I think the world needs more people like you and me, that go back in the past of video game history so when the original owners of 2600s die off, those people would make those great consoles stay in people's memories!!! Long live Atari and all retro games

  2. Nice find! I'll start hunting myself this weekend. Since I am in a small city I doubt I will find anything lol!

You would be surprised... you may find a hidden tresure in a small flea market. I found Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for 4$ in a small flea market

  3. Whenever there is a flea market near when I live, I go there and I try to find Atari or NES stuff. Unfortunately, finding video games in the wild in Switzerland is quite difficult. I never saw an Atari Game in the wild in Switzerland.(Sometimes there are 2600 games on the Swiss equivalent of Craigslist). Best thing I found in the wild is a NTSC Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for the SNES (for 4$ )

Nice finds tho. I really wish you could find 2600 games like that in Switzerland :woozy:

  4. Is it PAL or NTSC ??

I wil try it tonight, but it was at a Goodwill with a bunch of commons, Infiltrate, Space Cavern, Fire Fighter, Pitfall II, and a 4-switch woody console, so it looks like someone was a local collector. I bought the whole lot for $28.

If it is PAL, then it will screen roll or what?

I wonder what would happen if a little kid bought the thing.

Maybe something like "Mommy!!! What is Wolverine doing to Jean Grey"

    Nice find, though... I don't have any R9's, but I have a R10  ! (Mangia')

  5. Hi,

My good old 4-switch wood-grained 2600 doesn't work anymore, so I decided to buy a new one, and I'd like a light sixer to replace my old one (because it feels more retro than the 4-switch one, for some reason...)

If anybody has a spare PAL light (or heavy ;)) sixer, just let me know and I'll buy it for a good price (just tell me the postal fees to Switzerland and I'll add it to the price of the Atari).

I only accept PayPal as a method of payment.

    Many thanks...
