  1. Yeah, I pulled the trigger a week ago too, and now own all the seasons on Xbox One. I wonder how long it will take for more new tables to come to consoles.
  2. I agree driving to events sucks, but I still love Horizon. The first Horizon was the best because it used standard lobbies for the online. And that game is now X enhanced.
  3. I fully expect current gen consoles to be hacked in the future, and download-only games to be readily available. Those of us who paid for the games at one point can download with a clear enough conscience.
  4. Sounds pretty typical. Maybe replace the connector with Blinking Light Win.
  5. The Xbox One version wasn't released on time.
  6. I don't think your experience with the game matches most people's.
  7. I don't feel the Pro offers any compelling enough upgrades. The regular season packs are expensive enough for me at this point. Mostly because I've fallen behind. I dropped off during the great Xbox 360 fiasco, and only picked up one season initially when it launched on Xbox One.
  8. New video game stores operate in a very ad hoc manner. It's not like there's any printed Funco price guide. The owner sets the prices, and decides what they're willing to buy or sell. It's more like a consignment store than a proper game shop as we would have understood it in the 90's (which were willing to buy and sell any software from the list of consoles they carry).
  9. I understand what you mean. I think it's very stupid that overscan still exists at all on LCD screens. It's a relic that should have been done away with. It probably only exists because the first HDTVs were CRTs.
  10. If you already have a stick that you like for another console, then I reccomend just getting a Brooks adapter for it.
  11. I'm gonna hold on to my original Xbox and 360. I keep all my old consoles anyway.
  12. You are kidding. The games have different code for the X enhancements. The S uses the base Xbox One code. The X is basically a different system that has full backward compatibility and is marketed with the same software catalog. The base Xbox One is not good enough. When the same games typically run in full 1080p on the base PS4, yet usually struggle to hit 900p on the Xbox One, that's not good enough. That's the primary reason I upgraded to the X.
  13. I feel that MS has been very successful at creating a misinformation campaign about the S. It's very easy for the uninitiated to get confused with the letters on the names. But make no mistake. The S is just a base model Xbox One. It happens to be a slim, revised model they put out. It runs the same game code. The only difference is that they happened to give it an ever so slightly faster GPU. This causes certain games to run with slightly fewer hiccups, but for the most part it's the same. It just happens to have the enhancement of being able to play 4K blu rays, and it can upscale your games to 4K. This does not make it a different system. It just has a better upscaler to make it better compatible with newer TV's. It was made for people who did not already own an Xbox One. It's quite like the slim PS2, where Sony added progressive scan DVD playback. Of course MS benefits from having people think that the S is a new, enhanced console, meaning they sell more systems to people not educated about their product line. Yes it is an awesome looking redesign though.
  14. I'm happy with my 1080p TV. The super sampling you get with the X is worth it to me. The original Xbox One is so underpowered, you get 1080p full HD in many games where you wouldn't on the original Xbox One.
  15. Medeival Madness is sought after. It is really a fan favorite. I'm probably just going to have to grab all the tables. I never know which ones will click with me.
  16. I don't know why you would think it's a programming oversight. Why would they force you to waste your energy every time you attack while jumping? I think they just did it this way because they wanted it to be automatic - they found holding up to execute the attack while jumping to be a bit awkward. But they still programmed a way to opt out.
  17. Most LCDs have an overscan setting. Make sure you turn it off. Check instructions for your TV.
  18. From my perspective growing up with this game, it was never a secret. Anyone can learn it simply from manipulating the d-pad. Down is the opposite of up, which is direction you press to use your sub weapon. It's just intuitive. Just because something is not mentioned in the manual doesn't make it a secret. That may just be an oversight.
  19. This is how the NES is supposed to look. I enjoy it in all its flaws.
  20. Nope. Same as before. They really need to fix it. I can't imagine playing like that. Hopefully it's just a careless mockup.
