I think I really need to buy seasons 3-7 on Xbox One while I still can. I keep going back and forth on this, but there's really no choice. I need to own these virtual tables in the long term. I wonder if they will get the licenses back some day and offer them again. This is probably increasing their sales at the moment.

Not everything deserves a physical release. This is a $10 game. Let's let big budget releases be physical discs and let download games be digital only! That's how my collection works.

The Xbox One D pad breaks from playing any 2D game. I've broken 2 of my 3 already. For this reason, I use an Xbox 360 controller with an adapter for games that use the D pad for movement. Otherwise the controller is a slight improvement for games with analog movement.

I got a Hori pad for Switch and I had no control issues.

Most people don't want to admit they're a collector. It has been stigmatized. But I am definitely a collector. I get excited by old games and hardware, but I don't play nearly as often as I should.

I've gotten a couple of used game discs over the years that don't boot at all. The toothpaste method didn't fix the issue.

The numbers are more important in the Neo Geo MVS collecting scene. I think because of lower print runs, and because they're often so prominently displayed. There's not much else to the packaging. Although loose MVS carts are fine for most people.

High Voltage, why did you buy it? Picking up an instant collection now is way different than owning it back in the day.

I watch a ton of Youtube content now, with several subscriptions I enjoy regularly. It sounds nice to say that the wheat is hopefully separated from the chaff, but I'm not sure if that's the case. There is lots of quality gaming content that simply gets overlooked because it's not clickbaity or focusing on a popular game. Those videos can often be the most interesting for exactly those reasons. And making decent edited content for Youtube is inordinately time consuming.

The next thing to do after Nightmare mode is to play through the game as Zangetsu while killing the allies rather than recruiting them. A bit of a challenge. Finishing this unlocks Ultimate mode.

Console generations used to run about five years. The last generation broke the trend. I think MS may hang back with the X a little while longer, maybe reducing its price, before announcing a new system.

500 GB is fine. Just uninstall the games when you're not playing them. It's an unfortunate reality.

Yeah. They finally tried marketing it as a game system in its final push in the US. Those Phil Hartman and Burn Cycle ads worked on my brothers and me. We got a used toploader soon after with Burn Cycle and Mario. My brother went on to get a decent collection of cheap used US releases.

The only thing I really miss about Kinect 2.0 was not having to type in codes to redeem content. Being able to just scan it in was very slick, and the OS still prompts you to scan, last I checked. I sold my Kinect for $100 a year after I got it with my launch console. I got lucky. They needed a really good Kinect Sports packaged at launch with more killer apps on the way if they wanted to go the Kinect route. It's a shame the impressive tech was not better utilized.

It's a totally different game. Different stages.

Yeah, that's the challenge. With SNK's marketing budget, it probably won't happen. It would take a ton of luck to catch fire. Still, if they find out about it, I think kids will want it. There is potential. The mini screen and controls set this apart from other mini consoles.

I mean, I think if this is done right, it has some potential to cross over. I can see kids wanting it if they see it. They will think the design is cool.

This is a toy. Kids are gonna buy it. Not a full size barcade.
