I agree, buy the vibrator. I'm very happy with my NESRGB-modded Famicom.

Your Neo stuff is pretty badass, and I like these old World Heroes ads. They bring back memories.

The SMS legacy is ports of well-known Sega arcade games like After Burner, Outrun and Shinibi.
Similarly, the VCS is known for classic ports of arcade games. The problem is that in most of the better-known cases, superior ports have since been released elsewhere.

Double post.

That's what I was getting at! Screen memory. I should have realized. Thanks for the explanation!

This can't be said enough. When we got a C64, I was genuinely puzzled why the games on it didn't have the speed and responsiveness of the Atari. Compare, say, Gauntlet C64 with Dark Chambers. Or C64 Double Dragon with Activision's.
Atari had no noticeable lag ever.
I think that is an effect of how simple the hardware is. There's no room to program any lag. The VCS just does its thing when you press a button.

I bought Zaku back when it was first released and am quite happy with it.
It would be the perfect game to do a video on our channel for actually. With real hardware of course, but I would probably use an emulator for footage if I could.

If it's NTSC, I would open it up and reflow the solder joints.

Day 1 purchase. I've been waiting for this since it was first announced here.
The music is ridiculous though. I can't believe someone wrote this music.

I agree. The SMS is one of my favorite consoles. It is so cool looking. Even though I don't particularly like playing with the original pads, I still have to try because I want that original SMS feel.
Nothing can beat the feeling my brothers and I had when I was 10 and we got an SMS for $50 at Best Buy to supplement our NES.

Famicom/NES is third generation. It was just early to the party. If there's a 2.5 generation then put the Sega SG-1000 there as an SMS predecessor.

The NES game sucks and is common as hell, but people should do whatever needs to be done to cope with depression. Collecting these at least gave him something to do.

Would an SMS controller really help? I think it would be a downgrade. I'm happy with my euro controllers for 7800.
Modding a pad would not be a simple wire-for-wire, but close. That second button uses a special combination of pins.

Buy a converted Sentinel and an official PAL one. Without buying the official one all you have is a bootleg.

It was my brother and me. We used to play games together all the time as kids, and around holidays when we can get together we still make a good team. My 3 brothers and I are a gaming family. Sorry for the brightness level, we had some issues with the S-video on my capture card being too dark.
Those games look great! How are they in stereo?
The A/V mod separates the two sound channels into left and right stereo. I usually just use a Y jack to merge them back down to mono because I don't like it, but I figured 'what the hell' for the Youtube video.

I noticed that Plutos and Sirius didn't have videos on Youtube, so I went ahead and made some. These were captured from my 7800 system with 8bitdomain's S-video mod. The carts were made by CPUWIZ, and are fantastic.

Project Scorpio

I really hope they don't use the "Xbox One" name for this system. Not only is it one of their least popular system names, but I'm fully behind their incremental rather than generational approach to consoles. They can just release a new Xbox every 3-4 years that is fully backward compatible going forward.
