  1. Qualify = 59.50 (pic above) New Score Points = 56,000
  2. I am probably a bit of an outlier for this group as I use OPEN EMU for the Apple Mac platform to run my 5200 games if I don't get around to playing games on my actual console. I had to use my emulator here as my 5200 flashcart died and I have no other physical cart set up to play Jumpman. I ran into the same problems with Jumpman on OPEN EMU as some of those using Altrira - upon starting the game, it makes it to the game demo screen but none of the controls work (whether I run it from a keyboard controller or a steel series nimbus). I tried a few other 5200 game roms and they seemed to work fine, so it must be some sort of emulator (BIOS?) issue for me as well. See you next round.
  3. 9,100. Seemed to run quite fast on my emulator.
  4. Had time for a few rounds, but didn't make it very far: 9, 750
  5. Had time for 1 last minute round before the deadline. 7,911
  6. Played some additional games for a 1-0 result & then finally had a breakthrough inning in a game for a 5-0 victory. Scored all 5 runs in the top of the third, including a 3 run homer. As far as pitching goes for me, keeping the ball low, regardless of type of pitch really limits any extra base hits or HRs by the computer.
  7. 1(H)-0(V). My rust showed after not playing this game for decades, but it was a fun experience. It took me 4 extra innings just to score a run in this game and it took a walk off homer in the bottom of the 7th to do it. Hopefully I can improve my swing timing and speed & remember how to steal, so I can move some of my baserunners along. FYI - I haven't tried it, but playing again reminded me of one "cheat" my brother & I had to bar each other from using. I believe you can move several or all of your defensive players to to a spot right in front of home plate before a pitch & this set up will essentially make it impossible for any batter to get a hit because those close up defenders will catch anything no matter how hard it is hit. I cant recall if you have to reset the defensive players after each batter or inning, but if you want to doom a 1 on 1 game quickly, this is a sure way to do it.
