  1. And what about this: http://atari.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=4163 It looks similar.
  2. Hi TXG, I had the Desktopper with this kbd. Hope it helps
  3. Magnum is just fast RAM. It does not contain new CPU. Normally it is mounted in the socket on the ST mainboard insted of CPU. And the old CPU goes into socket on the Magnum. ST version has also sockets for TOS 2.6 because it is necessary for fast RAM access. The HBS contains new 68000 CPU in PLCC with caches. You can see the HBS's CPU under the FPU board. In the photos the HBS is mounted onto the CPU socket on Magnum instead the old CPU. And of course it is possible to use it without the Magnum. BTW here is the documentation http://www.uweschneider.de/Download.php?lang=en
  4. There are max 14 MB of RAM usable. So you can have 4 MB ST RAM + max 10 of TT RAM on Magnum (with 16MB SIMM). It is the same amount of memory as on Falcon. BTW my friend is running MiNT on this machine and it is very fine. There are schematics and JEDEC files for the Magnum cards for all ST/MEGA/TT. So I think it is possible to make a run. But the question is who is able to make it. I would love to have Magnum for my MEGA STE The HBS is mounted directly to CPU socket. FPU board in the photo is designed for the HBS. But I remember there is also board for MEGA ST from Atari.
  5. I know that Magnum works nice with the HBS. In the photos are Magnum card, HBS accelerator and FPU daughter board. It is nice sandwich, isn't it?
  6. you can find info about the cable on Joy's homepage. The cable is compatible with HDD Daemon and his PARCP http://joy.sophics.cz/parcp/parcpdoc.htm
  7. It looks more like Diamond OS DarkLord is right. It is the new GUI.
  8. Yes, the Suska was hooked to SM124. And it looks very nice. Unfortunately I cannot find any photo where it is running. Tomorrow I will ask my friend, maybe he has some.

  11. Because it is written in the shop: ATI CABLE, 9-PIN S-VIDEO TO COMPOSITE VIVO CABLE (LF)
  12. That's interesting, but the question is: Does the connector in the tv have the same pinout as ATI card? Let us know how it work!
  13. I played Space Quest from Sierra online with MT-32. And I have to write it is really great. I even tried to program some sounds but it is not so easy. But there are sound banks available on the internet for experimenting.
  14. I hope so, I have it already in my calendar, but cannot say at the moment.

  16. The powered joysticks does not work with multijoy. However if you switch the autofire off the joystick should work.
  17. Why not use S/XEGS RAMCART 128KB from Bob!k and Raster? http://raster.infos.cz/atari/hw/ramcart/ramcart.htm edit: Sorry, I did not read the whole thread ...
  18. 0 - LCD 1 - That's hard question some LCD has nice scaler some not. Depend on the LCD 2 - If you look at ST standard resolution 320x200 which is de facto wide (16:10), I think wide monitor is OK. 3 - Lot of games and demos use the overscan, so it is important. 4 - I am from Europe area and 50Hz is a standard here. 5 - that would be a problem, there is small number of LCD with 50Hz support 6 - I Have both, ST and STE (BTW what about the autoswitch overscan for ST in high resolution?) 7 - This depend on technology. Have not problem with DIL but have not enough experience in high density surface mounting.
  19. I think you need to set these 2 jumpers correctly according to this. I do not have such drive buy think you should Disable motor start and then set the delay. But if your drive has higher ID it could start spinning several seconds after powering it on. Motor Start Option ------------------ ---+-------------------+- | 2 o o o X o o o o | Enable motor start. The drive waits for | 1 o o o X o o o o |J2 the Start Unit command from host before +-------------------+ starting the spindle motor. ---+-------------------+- | 2 o o o * o o o o | Disable motor start (default). The | 1 o o o * o o o o |J2 drive starts according to the Delay +-------------------+ Motor Start option. Delay Motor Start Option ------------------------ Delay Motor Start option (valid only if the Motor Start jumper is not connected) ---+-------------------+- | 2 o o o o * o o o | Disable the Delay Motor Start option. | 1 o o o o * o o o |J2 DEFAULT +-------------------+ ---+-------------------+- | 2 o o o o X o o o | Motor start delay equal to the SCSI ID | 1 o o o o X o o o |J2 multipled by 10 seconds. For example, if +-------------------+ the SCSI ID = 2, the drive starts in 20 seconds.

    PAL or NTSC?

I have got my second VCS. Unfortunately it came without power supply and tv cable so did not test it yet. But I have opened it and there is number C015519 Rev 13 written on the PCB. Do I have PAL or NTSC version?
  21. why you do not ask in Czech Atari mailing list?
  22. The Cyberscape demo is compound from DLT animations. DLT is another animation format from Cyber paint. Maybe you can add this animations to your gallery too.
