  2. Bought a sweet PSP 1001 launch set from norkusa. Very well packaged, fast shipping and great communication! Will gladly do business with again.
  3. Many kids all around the nation (myself included) have had a 20-hour-a-week raid schedule before they ever got a job. This game made me sick - I completely agree with everything this guy says. I feel terrible that his mother never found the strength to pull out before it was too late. I put 230+ days into that game over about 4 years, during my prime years of 15-19. I regret every hour I spent, every "accomplishment" I only remember in my head. Nobody smiles with me about funny guild experiences, nobody thinks its cool how dedicated I was. It was the single biggest waste of time I have ever experienced - and I am adamant about the fact that video games in general are NOT a waste of time. I laughed very hard on his point about storylines. I tried to recall why the hell (story-wise) I fought the Twin Emps of AQ40, Lady Vashj of SSC, or Kil'Jaeden of SWP, and I really can't remember. I can tell you VERY obscure details about guild drama, min/maxing gear, or a crazy PVP story, but the game as a whole didn't make nearly as much impact on me as say, Popful Mail for Sega CD

  5. Just update my old thread with a new clip: I'd play this:
  6. Got my dad to play some Bentley Compu-Vision (Pong Clone) with me today! Pretty much the only game he can dominate me at anymore :D

Cool, my 13 yr old son won't play my Super Pong with me...

  7. Top-Down Shmups, Bullet-Hell Shmups, even Side-Scrolling shmups I love to play and collect them - I just don't think I've ever even finished the 'easiest' one. Odd, especially considering I find Metal Slug, Contra, and Gunstar Heroes, and FPSes in general, to be walks in the park. I have a proficiency in blowing sprites up, just not when MY sprite happens to be a spaceship
  8. bump, little less than 8 hours left!
  9. Nice stuff Havok...If you played that much I'll betcha we've traded bullets a time or two
  10. Every time he uses his Commodore 64 I want to scream TYPE RUN...FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JUST TYPE RUN It saddens me that he shits on that wonderful machine whenever he mentions it
  11. Anyone have an extra copy of this for sale (this, or the 1982 version, EDIT: or the 1983 Montgomery Ward one)? Either that or a link to a full set of images download?
  12. wow wow wow congratulations
  13. more pr0n please im not done fapping In all seriousness: great stuff RedRaider, welcome to the wonderful world of Vectrex! Mayhem is putting together a Vectrex collector's guide for an upcoming issue of Retro Gamer magazine - check that out for a nice, comprehensive list of all the goodies that will tug at the heartstrings of your wallet. Also, join us at: http://vectorgaming.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=vectrex for great Vectrex discussion! Lastly - the last boxed Bandai Kousokusen sold on eBay for a touch over $1k earlier this year. A very digestable price, had I been able to get the funds together...
  14. Check out my auctions! Most end Friday, 5/11 at around 7pm. Thanks for your interest! eBay Seller: Desfeek
  15. Some people take the internet way too seriously - get over yourselves. When I got to the end of this ridiculous thread, I had to ask myself how I got here...So much crap being thrown back and forth its hard to determine why I started or continued to read. Then, I realized its because this "Secret Game Room" is exactly what I desire someday (22, unmarried, etc). A cool little room, mostly to hide 'adult' items from children, guests, even theives. They can take my wife's jewelry but they'll never find my Vectrex muahahaha! The fake-eye picture would be the perfect cherry on this project. Kudos, Mr. Climber. Lastly - the bong hit/defarting ventilation system also has a purpose on keeping the dust down - I know you are 100% doing it, but I just want to reinforce the importance of the idea
  16. +1 for PsychedelicShaman! I just saw this glip - as I scanned the thread I was racking my brain as to where I could get you an Animaction - and then somebody came through. Good stuff. (Battlezone!?!?!?)
  17. Awesome. I can't wait for this thing. Thanks a bunch!
  18. I also recently ordered this awesome-looking phone (its on its way, $.99 with 2-year upgrade), and am confused by these two posts...is there a way to drop ROM files (which I already have) onto my SD card, and access them through the downloaded emulators, without having to "root", "jailbreak", "unlock", or modify my phone in any way? It sounds like Catsmasher got retro emulation to work without voiding his warranty...Did freeware ROMs come with Atarioid, Nesoid and Snesoid? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  19. hmmm never had this issue before... good question Stick some wadded up paper under there for a temporary fix, and I'm sure someone out there has a dead system you could salvage a foot from. Ask around
  20. Funny, I just put some time into Monopoly on Sega Genesis. What I like about that version is there is a scenario-creation mode, where you can allot property and funds to your liking, and see how the game turns out. Of course, that meant making all the AI rich, while giving myself all the property and max hotels/houses, just to see how rich I could get by the end of the game (Note: not really that rich by today's standards)
