  1. FYI: I sell a repro Freeway patch ... and now did a Pitfall! repro. Gonna do a giveaway on my Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/mattbuc16) this weekend if I can get a whopping 15 viewers. Haven't decided the time. Probably won't get 15 viewers. But they'll be on the big auction site soon ... just like my Freeway patches were.
  2. LOL at the above about the music. Made me laugh.
  3. So ... I did end up doing those Freeways repro patches. Made 100. Original price point was gonna be like $8. But I list them for $4.75 on the biggest auction site. If you're interested, just go there and look up Freeway Repro Patch. Should be the first thing probably that comes up. Looking to do more soon for other games. Prob will make a bigger post. Been selling for months and finally decided I should pub my hard work at least a little. Even considered putting together a repro patch syndicate where like 45 of us each make a patch -- approx #; one person per patch -- and then we'd all be able to get them around $5 apiece if people agreed to set same price point and be cool. I've sold approx 25 so far. And everybody has been really happy. I was elated how they came out after multiple edits with my supplier.
  4. I picked one up and am rather enjoying it! Flipper lag is nowhere near as bad as some might lead you to believe. I'm not a huge pin guy ... but I really dig this.
  5. For the record, I'm having the same issue with a Starmaster cart ... thought its on a rear projection DLP TV. Haven't had this issue with any other carts. It's not PAL. Cleaned connections multiple times. Best I can get is a slow vertical roll every about every 9 seconds -- meaning it takes 9 seconds to scroll the vertical length of the screen.
  6. I very near having 100 Freeway patches made. Without the TM to differentiate from the original. I don't like selling stuff that isn't clear it's a repro. As it looks at this moment (mockup stage), patch looks good. And aside from the TM omission, font isn't perfect (mainly on the C in "Save the Chicken Foundation" part) and there are a couple other small differences. Again, otherwise what I'm seeing looks fantastic. We'll see when we get to sample stage. From there, maybe I'll do more if it works out OK. My quest is to earn all the patches. Then it was to buy them all on eBay and throw them on a jean jacket. But I'm not 100% cool with throwing 100s of $$$ on patches on a jean jacket, essentially devaluing them upon the touch of the iron. So I thought ... hmm, repros! Why Freeway to start? First Activision game I got. And that's another story. Here's the vid I earned the Save the Chicken Foundation patch in.
  7. So I combed through this and tried to look all over the internet but I have a question. If I opt to put my games in cases (hard plastic) -- specifically the universal game cases from like MediaShelving.com, will those fit all makes of Atari 2600 carts? Like Atari, Activision, Imagic (??????), INTV (Mattel), etc? And question #2: Does MediaShelving.com's site go offline every now and again. Happened to me today but now I'm able to access again, it seems. Thanks, Matt
  8. LOL. I kinda need one, too. Well, I really just need to somehow fix the broken cartridge guide/prong that I have on a used one I picked up in a lot. Apparently the 2600 Jr works OK with just one of the cartrige guides/prongs ... at least on everything I've tried thus far.
  9. Thanks for the response. Believe it or not, I did try searching first. I usually do. Regardless, thank you again.
  10. What hardware came in the VCS/2600 boxes? I'm talking in the way of paddles and joysticks, really.
  11. Wow. That would be awesome. Cool site.
  12. Hmmm. I must be losing my mind. Tinkering around with Arcade Stick for Genesis, today, on Atari. At first I could've sworn it was pretty much working ... more or less. But when I tried it again later, after cleaning the inside button contacts/etc and making it work optimally with Genesis, autofire button was on and wouldn't go off and ... hell, I don't think I could fire. The stick was acting all crazy. Do Sega controllers and stick work on the 2600 or not? I saw that Best Electronics sold a Sega adapter. What's that for if Sega controllers are supposed to work. So confused right now. Thanks.
  13. You are correct, Cebus. I tried it with Yars' Revenge. It works, alright. It's just not ideal. I'm wondering if any other games benefit from it's use. Thanks, Matt
  14. Lot I bought recently included Flight Commander stick and a Booster Grip. Are Spitfire and Omega Race the only games these were really used for, respectively? Both work but, this second, seem like space wasters to me. Aso, Flight Commander stick's targeting sight is broken off. I'm guessing it was jus for looks anyway.
