      Thanks, @carlsson! Looks like it's only for PC. The tool was a .exe file. I'm on a Mac :(

       

      But that looks like what I was hoping for, something that could take a midi file and convert to ASM code.

      I'm essentially trying to emulate the experience of the president at the end, where he inserts the cassette and Bandstand Boogie plays. I want the person who puts the "game" cart into the Atari to have the same thing happen — they're expecting a game but get Bandstand Boogie instead. So, I guess to accomplish that I wouldn't need the whole song, just a part of it. That said, I'd be good with the first 30 seconds of the song. Could it be made to loop?

      @carlsson It's the song that plays at the end of Escape from New York, when the president plays the tape. I'm sure not many people today know the song, let alone the name of the song.

    Anyone else experiencing delays in package deliveries? UPS delivered a package to a nearby post office 3 days ago and I still haven't received it.

    A friend passed away today. Lung cancer. Just 42. Heavy smoker and weed taker. She leaves behind 5 kids, youngest being 14, and a 2 year old granddaughter. Medical negligence played a part.

    I put a Back to The Future tshirt i got at Universal Studio's in the 90's on ebay this morning, and it sold hours later for $66. I feel legitimately bad charging that. At least try and low ball me for my crusty old t-shirt so we can meet in the middle!

    The original "Star Wars" opened in US theaters 42 years ago today, on May 25, 1977. Also, the original "Alien" was released (on a limited basis) on the same date 40 years ago today: May 25, 1979.

      I was not quite 4 when Star Wars came out. So I missed that. Then my grandfather took me to see Empire when I was about 7 and I fell asleep. By the time ROTJ rolled around, though, every kid in my neighborhood had a plastic lightsaber. Good freakin' times.

    Well - it seems my lymphoma diagnosis is such that I'll never get to play my Atari 7800 XM. Kind of a bummer but may be looking for a new home for this soon.
