  1. I just watched a playthrough of Riddle of the Sphinx on YouTube the other day. I could never pass it as a kid. Not sure why I even bothered. Man, what a boring game. And absolutely no payoff.
  2. Well this is weird. This guy is selling a one-off box that I had printed years ago: https://ebay.to/2TznMaV

It was never for sale. I made a couple of comps like 8 years ago. I’m not mad, just surprised me seeing it.

  5. One of these days I’ll spell it correctly
  6. Hey RT — Here's something I put together. Still a little rough in places, but getting there. I also added a little more to the game's backstory. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Brian

I still think his best role was in Buffy (the movie, not the show).

I got an email about the price drop, which is nice. Also eBay found "similar" items for me, including a CIB Sonic 1 for $3.30 and TEN DOLLAR SHIPPING WTFOMGBBQ. https://www.ebay.com/itm/233128975974

I thought all the AAAAAIGH was the sound of the guy in Impossible Mission falling through a hole in the bottom floor.

Yeah, he raised the price from 200$, when it was originally found, to 300$ when I found it, and it seems he's lowered the price to 200$ again. This is the 3rd or 4th time we've seen this guy and he still won't figure it out. Sheesh!

  10. Woo. Cracked 10,000. Game is fun.
  11. Loving it so far. Goes from easy to hard pretty fast! Also, the sound when the restorative "skitters" away is pretty sweet. You planning to add anything else?
  12. Why is a Pitfall CIB so expensive on eBay?

    1. DoctorSpuds

      DoctorSpuds

Same reason as Conkers Bad Fur Day. Even though it is a very common game people are willing to pay more for it because it's a good game.

...can always remove the fugly el cheapo label and put one of Phil's on instead. I did that with a Ghostbusters cart recently.

A doctor makes 20 dollars a month there. Someday it will happen to Canada in the next 5-10 years.

  16. Why are there no sports-related homebrews? An updated baseball game or basketball game would be great.

When it comes to the classic games, the sports games tend to be the least desired, those you only get in order to have a complete collection. It might say something about the demand for new sports games, in particular those to be produced on cartridge and sold.

That said, you have a popular basketball game in Jam It! for the C64, though you wrote above you prefer the 2600.

  17. Thanks for sharing those. Elevator Action looks incredible too. Hopefully that one gets completed one of these days.
