  1. So is it just a single, then? Chris LOL. Aside from "I Ran", I don't think I've ever heard another song from Flock of Seagulls. Dare I hit YouTube and see what I've been missing? -B
  2. Any plans to expand upon what you have above? Perhaps additional stages/bosses? -B
  3. Thanks, Phil. It was fun! Can't wait to see the real thing -B
  4. Wow! Nice start. Love the ending music. Ozzy would be proud. -B
  5. Nice! Or the sleestak from the Land of the Lost Maybe a Land of the Lost 2600 game is in order... -B
  6. We should take bets on what will be revealed first -- this or Duke Nukem' Forever. -B
  7. Yesterday I visited my local Goodwill. I walked over to the video game display, and quickly spotted Super Smash Bros Melee for GameCube for 4.99, so I decided to get it. Below it was MegaMan 8 for the PS for about 3 bucks, so I picked that up too. So, I get to the register, pay for everything, and then it hits me: I never opened the cases to check if the correct games were inside. So I open the Super Smash Bros case, and some Sonic game is inside. I tell the woman at the register, and she calls the manager over, who proceeds to tell me that they can't give me my money back -- just store credit! Unbelievable. So, I figure, no use fighting it, I'll just get something else of equal value and call it a day. There was slim pickins in the case, so I got SpongeBob The Movie for GC. Not what I wanted, but at least I could play it with my son. The SpongeBob game was only 2.99, so I also got a DVD of Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell Tour. The woman at the register then gives me a new receipt and tells me I have 1 cent store credit. Great, thanks. I take everything, walk out to my car, and then realize I never checked the MegaMan case. So, I crack it open to find, instead of MegaMan, a f'ing Blues Clues game! FML. I did make up for it , however, by finally purchasing Turbo for the 2600. Public service message -- Don't be an idiot like me. When purchasing games from Goodwill, open the case first to be sure the correct game is inside! TL/DR -- Went to Goodwill. Instead of walking out with Super Smash Bros Melee and MegaMan, I wound up with a SpongeBob game, a Blues Clues game, and a Black Sabbath DVD. -B
  8. Great work as usual! Looks good so far. I'll keep playing and let you know if I find any glaring errors. -B
  9. I know we shouldn't discuss religion in this forum, but I can only imagine that that's what heaven looks like. -B
  10. So many great things happening in the ColecoVision Scene recently... and it's only the 5th day of the year :!: :!: :!: I may have to go out an buy a CV. I always wanted one as a kid, but my mom refused, mainly because we didn't have a pot to piss in, but also because I already had a 2600.
  11. Yeah, Ladybug definitely needs to be on the list. It's the total package -- incredible graphics, great music/sounds, and very fun to play. -B
  12. Exactly. I can't get used to the touch screen controls, no matter how hard I try. B
  13. Donkey Kong, hands down. I already had a good amount of games for the 2600, but I remember begging for Donkey Kong. My friend across the street had a ColecoVision and, of course, had DK. His mother never let him bring friends over, but one day she finally broke down and let us come over. We played DK the entire time, and all I kept thinking was "I can't wait to get this on the Atari, its going to be awesome." I thought it would look the same on the 2600. I was pretty disappointed when I finally got it, especially having played the arcade and CV versions first, but I played the hell out of it anyway. My mom never did get me that CV, though...
  14. Quick question, when the player and dealer tie, should it always be referred to as a "push"? It seems as if it is referred to 3 different ways in the game ("push", "tie", and "no one wins"). Just wondering if it needs to be consistent. That said, I really enjoy the game and I like how you handled the splits. -B
  15. The main issue I can see with having a wooden box is simply the cost. Unfinished wooden boxes come in a bunch of sizes, and are fairly cheap, but it would require having someone stain the boxes to make them look good. Any boxes that are puzzle boxes are, for the most part, pretty expensive. There are some cheaper ones but those are too small to accommodate the cart. My two cents -- Ditch the idea of the outer box needing to be a puzzle box. This will at least give you more to work with. I found a box that would be great, but the manufacturer is in China, and they have a min. qty of 2000. There's also no pricing, so it could be too much $$$: http://www.hzproduct.com/pro/1070/107181/gift-boxes-277401.html -B
  16. I really like the music in the Panky the Panda 2600 homebrew. B
  17. Phil, I can honestly say that I can't wait to get this game on an actual cart (and not just because I won the label contest) It's a lot of fun to play. B
  18. Happy New Year, PMR! Really nice sprites! You need to team up w/ a developer and get some of your sprites into an actual game B
  19. I did a quick Google search, and it appears team Savage has a website, with some Knight Rider 2600 screenshots: http://www.teamsavage2600.com/projects/works_in_progress/kr2600.php They actually look pretty good! -B
  20. Took my 2600 to a friend's house, and I'm currently in their basement playing Enduro with my son and daughter. Good times. B
  21. Thanks, Rev! Like the image on your cart -B
  22. And if you don't want to see the dreaded quadruple post, I suggest you do what he says.
