MEtalGuy66: when you reproduced the MIO, did you notice anything besides the video connector that is present on the PCB not used by the MIO's normal operation?
* Also, my MIO didn't come with grills on either side - can you help me?

-
The only sad part is that the single box of floppies could not be sent because of space so I have noting to boot up to do a more thorough test.
Seriously? How much to ship you the floppies from wherever they are to wherever you are?
-
Looks fantastic - but the 3.5 floppy icon is making my right eye twitch. Bring back the 5.25 icon!!!

-
I have the ICD Flashback disk - will put up an ATR when I get a SIO2PC someday. Also, is there any technical information regarding 80 col video on the MIO? I read that ICD was to produce an add-on module that would enable the video port of the MIO.

I like retro stuff, but what is the purpose of the VBXE? To me it looks like a massive video upgrade beyond anything atari produced, maybe even on par with the Amiga or beyond? If anyone has details, please explain

Finally got MIO stuff in the mail. Pics to come soon of all ICD products. Only one problem - nothing to run the stuff on! Until now...

Being that I'm a Unix / Linux Sysadmin by trade may have something to do with it

With the exception of just ignoring windows completely, can we start a new thread about ideas to remove windows from the world? For example:
Active Directory -> 389 Directory Services
Exchange -> Zimbra
Windows XP -> Ylmf OS
to name a few...
Anyway, I've stopped work on everything Atari to see where flashjazzcat goes with his GUI <- best A8 project of all time!

I contacted him this morning asking - routinely, I assumed - if it was OK to collect if I won the item. "Sorry, no collection" was his terse response. I'm afraid I was unable to restrain myself in my reply.
Simple... Bid on the item, then use ebay to request the seller's personal information. Call the guy on the telephone and tell him that you'll meet him at a corner shop to pick up the goods
Failing that, create a fake facebook of a smoking hot local girl that visits the local pubs, post plenty of pictures, and then friend the guy on facebook. Once friended, post about his treatment of you on ebay.

With the specific exception of a few security oriented functions, I thought the world moved to nano??? <-similar to DOS's edit program. You guys and your editors... Reason being that this is a Microsoft-centric world, which is also why things like ylmf os exist.
EDIT: ok you got me, bottom of the page here says "VIM - a text editor"...

nice - my b-day is Apr 3rd.

I also received a package from DealExtreme containing 50 rare earth magnets.

Holy crap batman! I have a 64K banked ram prototype cart from B&C, I wonder how difficult to tie in the obscure R-time 8 chip? hrm...
Also, use of pseudo-threads here

no, more like a root canal. Took the same amount of time (to get over) but only cost half the price. Remember, I live in Southern California, in a very specific part. The part Fast n Furious movies were based on (and actually still take place every Saturday night despite the efforts of law enforcement). Root canal $600, pull tooth $200, Rent is $1000 for 2 bedroom house with 2 bath & extra room. Electricity is $350 last month. So yeah, what a deal on my MIO! More pics to come soon.

I bid a few minutes after the auction showed up. Several days later, I check the listing, and "There Are Also Cracks In the Back Nothing That Effects Operation" magically shows up in the listing. Cracked, but does not effect operation - must only be important to me & the Japanese...

*Almost* bought a super sweet mint condition Atari 810 drive, but something is wrong with it. Can you tell what it is? Hint: Check out the eBay description.
-
I have an *ahem* 'boxed' Atari 835. It was called the Communicator II

I feel bad now...
Dear fibrewire,
I had the pic taken by someone else. I think thats all I have. My dad died and it was his stuff but I think we have gone thru it all. Take care!
- devekr
-
Well then i'm not interested. Thanks anyway!
-
Talk about beating a dead horse...
devekr, the MIO+RT8+PRC combo seller, has just lost a feedback point. Which means he received a feedback point, and then eBay retracted that point... If anyone has information regarding why devekr may have lost the feedback point, please let me know. I'm losing faith in this particular auction, and I bid $305 yesterday...
Specifically, has anyone seen this MIO+RT8+PRC picture in a flickr or photobucket album? I have requested additional pictures, just waiting to hear back from the guy. I hope this works out...
-
Hell, I'll buy 2 just because! Only if all the attachments are included. Maybe he wants to put it all on one flat board this time?

sheesh sloopy, you must really be hurting for MIO action. Trade you charliecron mio + RT8 for that extra SWP

I'll see if Charlie will ship it straight to you
