  1. I've dealt with them for 25 years. They are really good people. And i you think a "husband & wife" team is adequate to manage the size of operation they have, you are totally ignorant of the situation. It's a huge facility FULL of atari stuff.. alot of it still in shrink-wrapped pallettes. They bought all of ATARI's remaining inventory on alot of stuff, and about half on other stuff, and a bunch of OTHER misc. noncategorized stuff in addition. Bruce is a good guy, he's honest, and he does whatever is HUMANLY POSSIBLE in the way of customer service and expediency of orders. And he doesnt give rediculous copouts or excuses. This is a fact. You should call him and talk to him directly if you think you have a problem.

I've never had a problem personally, I just noticed people complaining matches my recent experience with them. They always get the stuff to me on time, and this is all NOS anyway - I'd be a fool to expect 30 year old hardware working perfectly, 100% out of 100 orders. I just thought maybe someone would know of their specific issue. I got my answer.

MEtalGuy66 is: Weaponized empirical information. Wouldn't have it any other way :)

  2. As I'm making a schematic of the Corvus interface board, I thought to myself "These high definition full color prints belong on a wall. I wonder if anyone else would like 11x17 full color glossy prints of Atari 800 stuff? Are there any A8 photographers out there?"

Post your high resolution professional style photographs of Atari stuff, and I'll print those pictures for you, free of charge. Shipping is negotiable.

EDIT: This picture really doesn't do the prints justice. These were printed on HP 48lb 11x17 Glossy paper using a HP CP6015dn in ImageREt 4800 mode

  3. ouch, i should've waited. I just bought Telelink I - NIB for $20

I do however have the atari communicator II in box with all documentation... one of the first things i bought from one of those other weird auction sites. Has grey foam instead of Styrofoam for packing material.

  4. If I was looking for something like that "at any cost", I would post in the NEwsgroups, the Vintage Computing Forum sites, and every Atari forum site on the web. Meanwhile, continue to scan ebay and craigslist in the HOPES that soemthing might show up. but you may have a really LONG wait.. Or it may never happen.

    And so i did :D

  5. This isn't the Apple II controller it is the circuit board from inside the Corvus drive itself. Personally, I cannot see why anyone would bother to disassemble one of these drives unless it's to repair another one.

The guy tore them apart and is using the drive enclosure for storage bins! That pisses me off to no end! I'm tempted to buy the damn "bins" off of him!

  6. Good News / Bad news

Bad news first - no Atari-Corvus interface yet

Good news - in a few days, i'm gonna have more Corvus drives than i'll know what to do with, maybe even a multiplexer :)

EDIT: I should get PC and Apple II interfaces as well. And I'll be sure to spread the wealth :D

  7. The Corvus drives have already been demanufactured. We are keeping the full height 20MB MFM hard drives until we can test them and wipe the data. We're already using the large plastic case tops for sorting RAM and CPUs in our warehouse. All that remains for sale from these Corvus external hard drives are the controller cards and some transporter cards we pulled from the school's Apple IIe systems.

    Heart Attack! GROAAA! ARGGG! *dies*

  8. I'll try and dig some of that out and compare to your pics, I do appreciate you taking the time to post them., right now I am getting blown out of the water with pic requests, there s simply too much to snap pics of..

If you don't want to deal with the loose boards and stuff, just throw it all in boxes and tell me how much for shipping to 92240 + your cost. I'll totally take it all! I'm an Atari Nut!
