Everything I'm stating has pretty much been said, but... Even if people don't like the UMD Drive, the X000 series can do everything that the GO can (except for the 1000, not having TV-out). I still have an un-modded 1000, and I'm fine with it. Plus with the originals, you can install different Memory Sticks, including the 32GB ones (but they are expensive)! Sorry if this post was unnecessary, I just thought I'd add something

I've always enjoyed good old DOS. I also like Windows 95, because of the nostalgia factor (had a Win95 AST growing up). That startup chime brings back a LOT of memories

I think carts would be the way to go. Not so much the media itself, but (as OP pointed out), the technology to play them would last longer and would not break as fast. The only thing about carts is that they're typically more expensive to build, therefore games might be more expensive, and less profits might be made. I dunno, just a guess.

The PSP for me too. When my friend got one, and I remember seeing it and being REALLY jealous. There was no way I could have afforded one back then, and seeing the (then) incredible Wipeout Pure just made me depressed (kidding!). I actutally ended up buying that very PSP from him earlier this year. A very strange feeling, to say the least

Also, what kind of DS are you using? The original has a pretty weak backlight (that's the one I have). My friend has a DS Lite, and it has a much brighter screen.

I like Granada on the Genesis/MD quite a bit. It's like a top-down shooter but you can move anywhere. Also you're in a tank, which is pretty cool Also Gaiares (same system) seems to be kind of forgotten, but it's a lot of fun too (also insanely hard, to me at least). I like the music quite a bit in both games!

That should be pretty cool! Unfortunately, I don't have a 360 (only a PS3) so I might need to pester my friend who has one into getting it! I think Star Raiders is coming to PS3 though, if I heard right. So at least that's something.

I prefer text over voice acting. I read a lot of books, so when I play a game with text, it almost reminds me of the "Choose Your Own Adventure" series in a weird way (I know it doesn't really make sense). Also, I find when a game I enjoy has bad voice actors (such as Baten Kaitos) it kind of ruins the story for me. Still, I understand how people could prefer voice acting. It certainly makes games more cinematic. I personally don't like movies, so I guess that has something to do with it too!

Hello everyone, I have a somewhat trivial question... Last Christmas, I got a PS3 phat from someone locally, and while it works fine, it is really scuffed up and unpleasant looking. I'm not even sure how this could have happened! Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any solutions to this problem? I've heard automotive wax can help, but I haven't tried that yet. Somehow that doesn't seem right... Any solutions would be great! Thanks for your time!
