I've played this one before, so I'm pretty decent at it on difficulty B. Anyways, I started a game earlier, and was groovin' quite well, until I had to quit prematurely due to a concert I planned to attend. Ended up with 225,490.

I haven't used the bomb yet. Do you have to pick something up before you can use it or is it always available? I guess I'll have to take a closer look at the manual........

Yeah, my high score feels pretty lucky at this point, too. I wouldn't get discouraged, though. I've noticed a pattern with many games where i improve steadily in the beginning, then hit a plateau in which i can't make any headway at all (and begin to think that i never will). With persistence, though, I'll start improving again until I reach the next difficulty level. Then another plateau.......

Beamrider released under a label other than Activision, such as Polyvox or Canal 3, is worth more, but I'm not sure how much more. Atariguide.com places these in the $20.00 range, but those prices may be based on outdated information. They also price one of the Activision label variations at $30.00.

I was at work, actually. Working really HARD. Some of my work involved pulling STIFF things out of holes. It was a LONG shift, too. I took a nice shower to LUBRICATE my skin and get ready for another day of PENETRATING business! I hope I don't get SHAFTED and go NUTS today. LOL, I made a joke in a thread called "Woody in the Wild" or something like that and had to edit it because of a complaint that it made the thread NSFW (the joke was about the title making a good name for a certain type of film). I thought it was tame compared to other things I've read on this site. I hope that person doesn't open this thread at work! Next time you might want to refer the complainer to this release by the Dictators: Fuck 'Em If They Can't Take a Joke (ROIR, 1981)

I finished 1st place last game but not 1st in the other 4, I felt it made more sense to predict #2nd place. I was just joshing

Regarding woodys, does switch amount matter (i.e. 4 vs. 6)?
