  1. Thought I'd admire my score from a different perspective, this one being from a screenshot instead of a blurry photo..... I don't know if this turned out o.k. _02.bmp
  2. Good question, i'm not sure where to find scans of the homebrew manuals. But AA has scans of the game manuals for games that were released back in the day. Here the ROM for Failsafe. Some of the other homebrew ROMs are in the 7800 hacks section i think. Thanks, Roadrunner. I appreciate the link to Failsafe, and more importantly, all the work you do as 7800 moderator! Thanks, since i took over the 7800 HSC i added the all time records and hall of fame threads. I added a few new rules in the rulebook. And had to go thur that 40 page thread of previous rounds. Some of the games the scores weren't put all in one post. And at the end of the thread i put together a list of all the the games that were played. I took a long time to do all of that. I still wish the previous HSC Mod was still running the 5200 and 7800 HSC's. It would give me more time to play these games. I hope darthkur is doing OK wherever he is at. The all-time records and hall of fame threads are nice additions
  3. Awesome score!! Thanks!! I don't think I'm gonna do any better by monday, though.
  4. obsessions are distressing but not dangerous

  5. If people aren't too attached to the poll, one suggestion is to simply play each game, including the hombrews, in alphabetical order. Each game gets hit once and only once until the whole catalog of 7800's is exhausted

  7. Being new to the 7800 HSC, I didn't realize that Food Fight had been overrepresented in this club. Most of these games are new to me, as I just purchased a 7800 console a year ago, so I simply vote for a game I'd like to try. If it helps, I'm willing to rescind my vote and abstain from voting in the future since it doesn't matter that much to me which game is selected. I like the idea of encouraging homebrew purchases very much. Unfortunately, I don't have the financial means to buy them very often
  8. Another question related to emulation: where do you find ROM's and manual scans for 7800 homebrews, such as Failsafe? I'd like to buy them all, but I'm mired in a bit of poverty at the moment. Besides, my 7800 console still needs repair (gotta teach myself how to solder and whatnot).
  9. Correction: there is one up for sale on ebay from Venezuela. When i looked yesterday, i made the mistake of looking under the category of video games, but its listed under vintage computer. Now to decide whether I can actually afford to buy another one of these things.....
  10. When I was buying my Compumate last year on ebay, there seemed to be a sudden influx of Compumates on the market, especially from Venezuela. When I searched ebay yesterday for a Compumate, there were none. Did the market dry up?
  11. I recommend the splat skin. It's easier on the eyes
  12. More power to ya! We need alternatives to the giant corporate conglomerates :!:
  13. Congratulations, Frostbite :!: :!: That would place you at second best on Twin Galaxies!
  14. I'm pretty frustrated with this game, too. Did you get any further in the Haunted Adventure Trilogy?
  15. Blasted through the 100K barrier! New score: 157,820
  16. Family Guy spin-off.... I get it, Cleveland is the character's name
  17. I think there was only ever a PAL version, but other than a different color palette I think it would work the same on a NTSC console. As a test here is some photos of the screen from my CompuMate on a PAL console. Can someone please compare this to it on an NTSC console. It looks like what I saw on my NTSC console. I just assumed the Compumate itself is NTSC.
  18. Im from Cleveland but I've never heard of the Cleveland Show
  19. Irecognize at least one of those film clips from the Tosh.O program

  20. Ernest Borgnine was in every movie ever made prior to the 80's
