  1. Way to go on that high score! Have you found any surprises along the way that weren't mentioned in the manual?
  2. That's the state I'm in. I go as far north as I can and then back down again and so on. I'm trying out different offerings. The only thing I think I know is that the pyramid wants the key. I thought the Temple of Isis wanted the necklace but now it seems to reject it. I could keep playing, but I don't see the point right now until I can figure it out. Also, I think I have what Scrabbler had the last two weeks (cough, cough ) 35,260 I originally guessed the necklace for Isis as well, but its actually looking for the object that pertains more specifically to her royal heritage. Hope you and Scrabbler get well soon!
  3. GORFY, Could you write and show the tips to complete Game 3? I can't go to the North after archieving the Phoenix!! Also, I'm incentivating to write the best tips for 2 bonus points! On level 3 you have to give two offerings to the Phoenix (and at the temples of Isis and Anubis) instead of just one in order to pass North. The first offering is the same as in the previous two levels. Does this help?
  4. Unlike my first attempt, I was able to complete the level on my 2nd attempt by getting the temple of ra to accept my treasures. However, my score was much lower this time (12,463) because I wasn't wandering around in a state of bewilderment and shooting everything in sight. Perhaps my previous high score should not count since I eventually died on that occasion without completing the level. Is there a stipulation regarding this?
  5. My first score: 34,904. I had difficulty distinguishing between temples/places to make offerings, so I did a lot of random guessing. Afterwards, I found a jpeg of the manual on atariguide.com, which is useful for identifying these places and the various objects (the atariage manual has no pictures). Surprisingly, what looked to me like a big pile of dung turned out to be the Sphinx! Good luck, everyone!
  6. Awesome!! Thanks for taking the time to right that out
  7. Yeah, but despite all his misfortunes, he remains impressively imperturbable, which is especially annoying when I run into yet another blocked one-way detour. His jalopy, on the other hand, is always jittery but consistently yields a mighty wicked turning radius.
  8. Wish I could offer a tip, but I've been trying to figure out case 3 for days.........My cartography skills suck!!
  9. Congratulations on a really difficult level!!
  10. Sounds pretty involved......I was hoping to avoid taking out pencil and paper, being the map illiterate that I am, but it appears necessary at this point, or at least at the next available moment of relative sobriety. Good luck on Case 4.
  11. Nice goin' on getting thru Case 3! I've been going nowhere fast on that one.
  12. Now I can't get that song out of my head! Nonetheless, I managed to get through Case2, albeit just barely. Not much room for mistakes, which is reminiscent of Pitfall, but much less tedious than the latter. This game's actually pretty addictive. It kinda reminds me of my old neighborhood, except people were smashing beer bottles against the car rather than flower pots.
  13. I'll get things rolling with my completion of Level 1. Can we go for both the bonus points and the high score, or is it an either/or deal?
  14. attempting to attach photo of score..........
  15. Rolled past 1,000 to 2,115, when i decided i had enough. I agree with toymailman that this game could've been very good had they ramped up the challenge. Still, I haven't tried the higher levels yet........ I took a nice snapshot of my score with a digital camera, but still don't know how to upload; My Kodak "EasyShare" makes it difficult to share.
  16. Here's what you bascially need to do: 1. line up the tip of your plane with the front tip of the pulsating yellow streak 2. move your cursor to the center red dot at bottom of your screen and click red button on joystick to switch to other screen 3. you'll see two planes. The one on top is controlled by moving the joystick in up and down directions;Use this to line up the top plane with the yellow line and then the black line that immediately follows. The plane on the bottom is controlled by moving the joystick in right and left directions; Use this to position the bottom plane on the white line. I usually do this first before messing with the top plane because the bottom plane usually only requires a minor adjustment. Then you can focus on bringing the top plane in line. 4. If you succeed, you'll see score points; Then press red button on joystick to return to other screen 5. The rest involves managing the planes with your cursor so they don't go off-screen or wander off in a "near-miss" I hope this helps. I was pretty bewildered when I tried this the first time! The game's motto should be "difficult to learn, easy to master" So far, Ive made it to 810 points, but unfortunately I haven't figured out how to upload photographs!
