Levels 9 & 10 are definitely milkable. So, are we outlawing milking Iceman? If so, shouldn't we just go by highest level reached?
This is a good point. I don't want to feel obligated to avoid the Iceman. If you do knock off icemen, where do you draw the line between fair play and illegal point leeching?
It seems we should either allow unlimited Icemen, or go by level attained as the Capitan suggests.
any rulings, Baz or Jake?

We are playing this game with left difficulty B and right difficulty B.
Usually Atari games start with these settings but you can press F6 to set left difficulty as B and F8 to set right difficulty as B.
In stella you have:
LEFT DIFFICULTY B: F6
LEFT DIFFICULTY A: F5
RIGHT DIFFICULTY B: F8
RIGHT DIFFICULTY A: F7
---
I forgot about game 1. Gorfy's last post remembered me.

You can choose which game by pressing F1 and F2 is to start a game.
These keys will help you in future rounds. As Gorfy said, for this game, you can just play it right away.
Also, use F12 to get a screenshot via the emulator if you don't want to use a camera.

So this is my first HSC, I was just wondering do I have to do anything to Stella? Or do I just start the game as is and go for it?
You probably can just start the game as is since we're playing game 1 on level B difficulty

Hi. Then new 2600 High Score Club season is about to begin. It's scheduled to start next Monday, the 18th, but the new thread for the first game of the season may appear over the weekend.
Joining is easy --- you simply go to the thread and submit your score for the exact game being played that week. Most people attach a screenshot from an emulator or a photo of their tv screen as proof of their score. If you need help with this, just ask right in the High Score Club thread. You can submit new scores as often as you like during the week of play. Each week's scores are recorded and overall season scores are tabulated as the season goes on.
After the end of the season, there is typically another, separate tournament for the top 24 players. A season's length is determined by the moderator, currently S.BAZ, and typically extends over several months.
That's a brief sketch, but feel free to ask more specific questions....
Look forward to seeing you on the 2600 boards this season!

A few more suggestions: Raft Rider, Moon Patrol, and Laser Gates. I believe these haven't been played in this HSC since 2012, during the illustrious reign of Vocelli.
Speaking of Voc, has anybody heard from him?
I'll answer my own question: Voc is alive and well. He hopes to be rejoining the HSC this summer, according to a PM I received from him yesterday. It's great to hear from him!!

I think it's a great game, similar to Dark Cavern on the 2600, but with more obstacles and critters to overcome.
By the way, we're playing it right now in the 7800 High Score Club, so join the fun. All you need to do is post a picture or screenshot of your score. Here's the link.....

I gave away my entire comic book collection.
Also, my parents threw out my Planet of the Apes treehouse and action figures!

Looking forward to joining in the madness!
Maybe to embrace the Star Wars madness, why not Empire Strikes Back?
Or heck Montezuma's Revenge!
Both are great choices! Looking forward to seeing some new blood in the 2600 HSC....

I agree with Oyamafamily. I also would prefer to see new or lesser known games played in the 7800HSC
