If you manage to make it past a 100k mark (or 200k or 300k, etc) without dipping back below that score, then you can continue without the glitch kicking in. The problem with allowing the glitch is that anybody who can make it to 100,000 can then also get to 1 million fairly easily by exploiting the glitch. Of course, it would still require a time investment....

Got to 100k again, and the damn game glitched out I think I'm done with this one.

I hate to bring this up, but I recall Astroblast having a glitch in it that allows for really high scores. I don't remember exactly how it works, but it gives you tons of extra lives.

Haha, that place sounds like a real classic. Reminds me of a basement nightclub I used to frequent back in the day. At one point the clogged toilet in the men's room was completely removed, leaving a hole into which everybody would urinate. Congrats on your find!

I know it's cliche, but I call my 2600 "Old Faithful" because it's my original light-sixer console I received for christmas back in the early '80's.
