Perhaps we've stumbled upon the reason why this game has never been played in the HSC before

@Karo --- I think we should keep the portals part of the score. It's an important part of the game. We both determined your specific score to be 125, so there doesn't seem to be a great problem. @Mods and everybody --- In the case of my "90" score, I kept track of the number of portals I crossed. Even though my viewer portal appears pinkish, I know it was meant to be orange (It cannot be pink because that would take me to a level higher than 3 chevrons). If this cannot be accepted via the honor system, then I'll take the minimum score in the three chevron range, which is 80.

Karokoenig's actual score, to obtain a ranking of Lieutenant, is between 144 and 175 (see manual for scores and rankiings). If the color of his viewer border is violet, as I think it is, then Karo's exact score is 175. Scrabbler's actual score is 80, I believe (5*12 = 60 pts for enemy ships shot down; Add 20 pts. for passing 2 portals, as indicated by the yellow viewing border; Thus, total score is 60 + 20 + 80) Stan Jr's actual score is 50, I believe I couldn't calculate the BAZ's score; Without the picture, I couldn't determine number of portals passed

I'm confused about the scoring.......According to the manual, the score depends not only on the number of hits, but also on the number of star portals crossed. Specifically, Multiply your tally of enemy casualties by 5 Add 10 points for each star portal penetrated You can determine how many portals you crossed by the color of the viewer portal (see manual). Here's my score as an example: As you see, I shot "3" enemy ships, as shown on the bottom right. But this isn't the total score. Multiply "3" by 5 = 15 Now, notice the grey viewer border, which indicates I passed through one portal. Therefore, add 10 points. Thus, total score is 15 + 10 = 25
