The NTSC box says "Printed in Hong Kong/Made in China" and the PAL box only "Made in China".
-
Doesn't work. All 2600 and 7800 games have a different made in on the box for PAL/NTSC. Only exception are the last 2600 red box games.
-
Don't worry, when that happens I'm here to buy out your collections cheap The last financial crisis was actually quite nice, a lot more stuff for sale and a lot less buyers.

Why should they care? A Porsche made in Germany is being sold for less in the USA than in Germany. And we not only export the Porsche cheap to the USA but are also lending them the money to purchase it. Same is true with all the TVs and other goods from China. USA gets the goods and money, China gets the bonds. So why should the American care? He gets the Porsche, big TV, new smartphone and the rest of the world bonds. The average voter will only care when he drives to Walmart and 50% of the import stuff is gone and the other half way more expensive. Then he might get an idea that the rest of the world has financed the US lifestyle.

Yes, Klax has a 1990 copyright, but the game wasn't manufactured before 9/1991. You can check the timestamp on the small flap on the box and on the manual.
-
Klax was actually manufactured 9/1991. Acid Drop was released 1992.

The only good the USA exports is the Dollar. Every month the USA have a huge trade deficit. http://www.bea.gov/newsreleases/international/trade/tradnewsrelease.htm So the rest of the world exports goods to the USA and all they get are Dollars printed by the FED. As the world moves away from the Dollar expect to be able to consume only 50% of what you do today.

Yes.

When you have a few sealed Imagic, Parker Brothers etc. games you know the typical characteristics. Everyone can shrinkwrap games, but it's almost impossible to reproduce the characteristics of the old machines.

WARNING, Star Wars has been RESEALED! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 251597833553
-
And how many of them made any sense?
-
Yes, it's a reseal. $89 for a not so mint CIB copy is way too much.
-
You should reply, "Excuse me, do you mean eat or suck?"

I have a game from the same seller on the way to me and he said he'll ship in a box. Hope he did so.
-
Damn right, and I still want them. Also everyone who has ever outbid me is on my list!
-
That's why I'm sending every seller a message and ask them to ship in a box. Sometimes a seller ignores it and ships in a bubble mailer. In that case I'm always giving negative feedback. No exception. No matter if the game was actually damaged or not.
-
Wrong forum dude, wrong forum.
-
Don't worry, he has blocked 90% of us, everyone who has ever outbid him But I wouldn't call $799 for a homebrew a nice pick-up, it's just stupid.

Are some eBay sellers hurting Classic Computing?
Andre81 replied to Omega-TI's topic in Auction Central
So where can I pick up a Ferrari Dino for free? All those teens who once wanted one must be dead now. -
Only the first 10 games were released in the box with the "A new game cartridge" banner. The other 30+ games not. So if you want your boxes to be all in the same style you need to pick the later style.

This thread is for INTERESTING auctions. What I can see on the picture and on eBay IS NOT INTERESTING. Most of your items are also in bad shape. Sorry about the backlash when you just register to advertise your repros and worn cartridges.

Their grading system totally defeats the purpose of grading. A box with such damage shouldn't qualify for a "Gold level", no matter how mint the rest of the box is. I guess they need to get their eyes checked.
-
How can a box with such damage get a near mint+ grade?

Atari's Landfill Adventures, I now have the proof it's true.
Andre81 replied to Spud's topic in Atari 2600
I highly doubt that Atari paid property taxes on their inventory. They got rid of the games because they can only count the inventory as an expense after they sold or disposed it!
