  1. Speculators like him are hurting the collectors market and the hobby. By selling to him you are supporting this for 5 Dollars extra. Ultimately the whole hobby will suffer from guys like him.
  2. Do the world a favor and cancel the bid from happiestsellerever and block him. Otherwise your game will be graded and relisted for $3,999.
  3. So you watermark your pictures to prevent eBay sellers from using them but at the same time you are stealing pictures from eBay auctions and use them on your site. I expect pictures of my property to be removed from your site. Thanks.
  4. a) Apollo games were never sealed/shrinkwrapped b) There are two box styles of Shark Attack (original and blue label)
  5. Nooooo. I'm using it on the iPhone and the old version works quite well. But I get a notification now that the hook and plugin version here on the forum doesn't match.
  6. Must have for cmart: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 221484514365
  7. I have both the Coleco and CBS version for you.
  8. Read the description, seller shrinkwrapped it. Looks like the shrinkwrap is too tight and squishes the box. I'd remove it. Also too expensive.
  9. I don't think so.
  10. Why do you think it's a prototype? Looks more like a missing label.
  11. If someone spends $2,000 for a low quality paper label he deserves it.
  12. He tried to rip off atari181 and tries to sell repros as original. I wouldn't buy anything from him.
  13. The original Smurf game was dull. I hope Sidney Hunter gets more screens, enemies and action. Even Bobby goes home for the 2600 is far better than Smurf!
  14. Nothing wrong with going to flea markets early in the morning to earn some money with buying and reselling. Also nothing wrong if someone buys a lot at a discount and splits it up for a profit. I only have a problem with resellers that try to create artificial markets by buying every copy of some games and then relist them for inflated prices. Such sellers are really bad for the hobby. No one needs such speculators. I can't see anything wrong with what Joe is doing. Otherwise every store selling pre-owned stuff (new or used) would be a reseller and bad by definition.
  15. Joe / atari2600.com is not a reseller. A reseller is someone who buys individual games or lots just to immediately flip them with no real effort. A reseller also artificially increases prices because he buys at or above market prices and then demand 3 times what he paid. A reseller is a jackal who tries to take advantage of a hobby in a bad way. Joe on the other hand runs a business where he buys out [large] collections at a discount and then sells the games at fair prices. A lot of his stuff can be found cheaper but his prices are still moderate. The only bad thing is that he neglects the classic stuff and doesn't seem to care much about Atari anymore. He used to have great stuff for the 2600 and other classic consoles, but the stock is now depleted. So unfortunately he is now yet another seller selling average stuff.
  16. Actually that's exactly what I had in mind But someone would have to put the Atari title screen back into the code.
  17. The part numbers of the Atarisoft games are: 70251 Pac-Man 70252 Defender 70254 Centipede So 70253 is missing, which I guess was Dig Dug: http://www.intellivisionlives.com/bluesky/games/credits/intv3.shtml#digdug Is this confirmed? Any better idea?
  18. Btw., you have a wrong part number for Space Armada here: http://www.intvfunhouse.com/mattel/action.php
  19. The handhelds don't have serial numbers. Not sure why you are asking.
  20. Yes, check the attached pictures. They also have a 4-digit part number. Pocket Football 2 from 1978 has 1050 for example. Part numbers for the handhelds can be found here: http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Mattel/ Night Stalker for the Aquarius has 4595. Not sure which other product lines they had during the early 80s.
  21. I always wondered if the part numbers on the Intellivision games have any meaning, but it seems that Mattel Electronics just used consecutive part numbers across all products. I checked their handhelds and they use the same 4-digit part number as the Intellivision games. The only odd thing is that the part numbers of the launch titles (ABPA Backgammon, Armor Battle, Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack, Math Fun) are pretty far apart. Is it confirmed that Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack and Math Fun were launch titles? From the part numers my guess would have been that Las Vegas Roulette and Word Fun were launch titles instead. Any idea what part number 1115, 1116 and 1117 are or were supposed to be? Does anyone have a Mattel Electronics catalog for the years 1978-1983? Maybe it's possible to compile a giant list of part numbers.
  22. It looks like they mostly just re-released games. Many Atarisoft titles for the Commodore 64, but also games for the ST. Top Gun Implosion Army Moves Ms Pac-Man Dig Dug Pac Man Pole Position Great Escape Slot Car Racer
  23. I just noticed that Thunder Mountain has no entry on Wikipedia, even though they have released quite a few games. They usually don't rank high in collectors popularity, but I think it would be nice if an entry would be added. Maybe we can put together some information here and then publish an article? Commodore 64 games: Super Pac-Man Slot Car Racer Winter Challenge
  24. Attention, boxes of Texan Chainsaw Massacre and Halloween are not original. "original cartridge and manual, the box I had made" eBay Auction -- Item Number: 131202547014 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 131202545041
  25. As a (re)seller you should be a little bit more professional than that.
