  1. To be fair, Solaris was finished in 1984 but not released before 1986 because of the sale of Atari Inc.
  2. Atari should have released an ST compatible console in 1986. Basically an ST with just a cartridge port and no keyboard, drive, ports, monitor etc.
  3. Didn't know these Lynx games are sought after: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 121339852949
  4. Had the same experience with B&C. Wanted to place an order and after a few emails I got the invoice and he was asking more than he has the items listed for on eBay. I replied that he can't ask more than on eBay and he also saves the fees, but I never heard anything again from him. Bottom line is these are old guys doing their business their own way and you won't be able to change that. They are handling their business the same way as 20 years ago. Seems they still make enough sales.
  5. I just got several packages from someone in NC, some shipped 4/6 and the other 4/17. The packages shipped later actually arrived earlier. The problem is that USPS uses whatever vehicle is available in Miami. Either the supersonic jet or the paddleboat. Unfortunately it's always gambling.
  6. An unknown Data Age proto for $40 BIN would be interesting
  7. You can see the original Atari label below the sticker, so what's so interesting about the cart? Someone just put a sticker on a cart.
  8. Just call him, give him a wrong address and let him drive 200 miles for nothing
  9. Maybe Troy is still looking for a bidding buddy?
  10. I don't have the item number of that lot any longer but he didn't pay much for it, nowhere near $200 for that game. The games were also clearly listed as PAL, so he knew what he got and what he was reselling. I wonder why you haven't left negative feedback yet. He is a scumbag and won't be cooperative to give you your money back anyway. You should also bring charge against him and call eBay.
  11. Stupid wannabe reseller. Bought: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 121321794791 Relisted: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 121336939252
  12. Have a look at this auction to see where he got it from: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 221431506830 (For $20)
  13. Atari sold 100,000 copies of ET after 1984 and the remaining copies ended in a mine in Venezuela.
  14. Blatant shill bidding. http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=181396170248&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565 j***s (42) Bid activity (%) with this seller: 100% Retracted: US $151.00 Bid: May-05-14 12:52:46 PDT Retracted: May-05-14 12:53:44 PDT Later he bid even more when the other guy placed more bids.
  15. I think Laser Gates is pretty good, requires a lot of skill.
  16. CX266x were originally intended to be educational games and CX2662 and CX2664 had been assigned an educational game in 1978, so it's likely that CX2663 was reserved for an educational game as well. Is there an unreleased educational game? CX2661 Basic Math 1977 CX2662 Hangman 1978 CX2663 Combat Two 1982 CX2664 Brain Games 1978 I also wonder if Road Runner got the number assigned by Atari Inc. in 1983/1984 or by Atari Corp. in 1989. I'd say the number was already assigned by Atari Inc. together with Taz and probably Bugs Bunny. Games like Desert Falcon were released before Road Runner, so if Atari Corp. filled up the gaps in the serials they would have assigned another game to CX2663 before Road Runner. Combat was due for release in November or December 1982 and work on Taz and Bugs Bunny started early 1983, Road Runner 1984.
  17. What do you mean? It looks like the game concept didn't change after the first mockups and Oscar was finished in 5/1983, so why the delayed released?
  18. Hurry up, eBay says this Astrosmash is a real bargain!
  19. It just needs two crazy folks to triple a price. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 161284455368
  20. There is another strange fact about Oscar's Trash Race. It was finished just after Alpha Beam and before Big Bird. So why were the other 3 kids games released together in 9/1983 and Oscar then delayed until 2/1984? Oscar's Trash Race 5/23/1983 Cookie Monster Munch 12/21/1982 Alpha Beam with Ernie 5/16/1983 Big Birds Egg Catch 6/13/1983 http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/oscar/oscar.htm http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/cookiemonster/cookiemonster.htm http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/alphabeam/alphabeam.htm http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/bigbird/bigbird.htm
  21. CX26100 is at least not too far off. Although it is more likely that CX26105 and CX26116 were both reserved for a kids game.
  22. The bidder with 15,000+ feedback is "happiestsellerever!" Probably wanted to get it graded and relisted for $2,999.
  23. Where is CX26156 for Combat Two coming from? This doesn't make any sense. Combat Two was announced in this catalog on page 6 together with several other games and if you check the serials of the other announced games this totally matches the CX2663 serial from the price list. http://atariage.com/catalog_overview.html?CatalogID=62&orderBy=ModelNumber&orderByValue=Ascending
  24. The real question is why did Road Runner not get a number assigned in 1984 and why did they reuse an already assigned low number for a red box release. Also Taz was a silver box game and not a kids game, so Road Runner was likely not to be a kids game. My guess is that the serial would have been in the 101 to 120 range.
