Watch out for cosmic commuter NIB- not from a collection
Andre81 replied to atari181's topic in Auction Central
Next Cosmic Commuter is for sale: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 110835335142 This time as a BIN with best offer option. The seller is now aware that the price is dropping and wouldn't go that high in an auction. -
I disagree with you. New means for me that it has not been used, has no wear and is complete will all manuls, packing material etc. In this case the opened box is minuscule for me. Something else are sealed games. As soon as the shrinkwrap/seal has been broken I consider them as used.

There are also 6 new games included, which I would value at around $200+.

The other one sold for $136: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 140651735070 "It has been in my collection for about 25 years. Very hard to find and scarce. You won't see a similar copy in a long time." -

Yes, the price will go down further, there are several boxes of the game. I don't like this particular seller because he is playing games ("It has been in my collection for about 25 years") and the bidder list is protected. -
They are not that rare in Australia. The games are also nothing special, just released by HES. So all you get is a different box.

How do you sell video game lots on Ebay?
Andre81 replied to homerwannabee's topic in Auction Central
Not a good idea. Many buyers only search in the Video games category. -
There is a "sealed" Centipede on eBay right now: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 220948708579 From all I know the Atarisoft games were never factory sealed that way.

Thanks for letting everyone know that you have and will collect email addresses. I'd suggest that you read the CAN-SPAM act. - A visible and operable unsubscribe mechanism is present in all emails. Please let me know where I find the unsubscribe information and link in your last "marketing" mail.
-
Dear Tim Duarte, would you please stop collecting email addresses and sending SPAM emails? You can post news here or you can offer to sign up for a newsletter. It's unacceptable that you send unwanted emails and that you forward the PayPal payment information to other people (Videosoft). It doesn't matter whether or not I'm interested in the news, I do not want unwanted emails. Andre

I'd take the risk for $100, but definiately not more. Not even sure if I would want to have the chips in my collection.

"bid price is currently $50,000 i'm not going lower and if no one buys it's off to the smithsonian, just thought i'd give you a heads up." eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200689174158

I bought Star Wars for the ColecoVision sealed for $70 and got it loose in a Cheerios box. After I got the game I contacted the seller about the horrible packing job he did and he answered "So what, it's a game, it's for playing."

Stories of auctions that seller did not honor
Andre81 replied to boxpressed's topic in Auction Central
More problems with this guy. He never shipped the games and never provided a tracking number, so PayPal ruled in my favor and my account shows an open refund. Now I got this email: "An eCheck payment from jeffrey drost was declined by the sender's bank. We will automatically try to process this payment again in 3 business days. It then usually takes 3-5 days for the money to be deposited into your account. Please do not ship items until you receive payment." This was an eBay purchase, so it is covered by the buyer protection. What do I care about an eCheck payment?
