Commodore fans , big commodore 64 lot for sale
Andre81 replied to Skatepunk60's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I want the power supply. How much? -
I know, that's why I've stepped out. But you have to consider that most Taiwan Cooper games are not in such a good condition. The set he sold here was pretty much flawless. I rather pay $20 for a box in flawless condition than $10 or $15 for one with dents.
-
How do you know that? My max bid was $29 and the current bid was then $30. The max could have been anything. I wanted all 6 games and the total would have been $200+. That's when I've decided to step out and also not to buy a single game.

I do care, because 'eightiesvault' has been accused of shill bidding when there haven't been any. Here are just a few auctions I won recently from him. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320790478584 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320790648361 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320790651283 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320774206034 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320774285095 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320776317853 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320770049855 .... No, I wanted the complete set. And because the price for the complete set got to high I decided not to buy single game. As you can see from the bidding list I actually matched your bid of $21. So I knew your max bid was $21. I didn't make a mistake by bidding $22. After my bid I looked at the listings and decided to step out. I think the sale price is fair for the game in such a good condition. If you don't want it, I take the second change.

Hi, I'm the "shill bidder" here. a) I've bought about 60 games in the last 4 week from 'eightiesvault'. Just won more games yesterday. b) I wanted the complete set of Taiwan Cooper Colevision games and was the highest bidder c) After I got outbid I placed higher bids on the items. I couldn't see that I would be highest bidder with my next bid. d) I decided not to go higher with my bids and not to buy the set, therefore I retracted my bid on one of the Colecovision games. e) If you are not prepared to pay the price, don't bid. Period. I've won and paid games for $650 from him in the last 4 weeks. So eBay can look as much as they want into this.

LOCAL STORE CLEARING ATARI INVENTORY PART 2
Andre81 replied to Atariman56's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I only collect sealed games, guess everyone is different. And while I do spend a lot of money on games one of my rules is not to pay too much for them. I never go into a bidding war with someone else or pay above market prices. Why should I buy an overpriced $20 games if I can also add two $10 games which are priced fair to my collection? I would never pay Gary $20 per game, because that money would be burned. I would never ever be able to sell them at that price. You can pay $20 if you just want one game, but as a collector that's a no go. I don't spent $2,000 on games worth $500. The interest in ST games is very very low. -

I never lowballed him. It is just a matter of fact that ST games don't sell for $20 each. I'm buying ST games since several years and have between 600 and 700 sealed games so far. He can list them all on eBay and most of them wouldn't even sell for $5. -
LOCAL STORE CLEARING ATARI INVENTORY PART 2
Andre81 replied to Atariman56's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I welcome everyone to sell their Atari goods here. But the way Gary tries to sell his goods won't work out. He doesn't provide pictures of the individual games, no lists, doesn't accept PayPal, asks too much and was also not very nice in the past. -
LOCAL STORE CLEARING ATARI INVENTORY PART 2

He sold 500 items in 2 months, so I just estimated that he has sold 1000 items by now. How can you doubt that? -

Have I been robbed or is this just fraud?
Andre81 replied to Thorsten Günther's topic in Auction Central
What I do not understand, if the other seller wanted to scam someone, why would he offer such an inexpensive lot? Also why would he only list 1 item? If I wanted to scam people, I'd list 10 expensive items and run away with the money. But $80? -
I don't think the "NTSC prototype reproduction" text is necessary here. It distracts a little bit. This is not an reproduction of an expensive game where people could be tempted to sell it as an original. The box and label should look like what it would have been if the game had been released. Obviously there wouldn't have been a tag "NTSC prototype reproduction" on the label.

Unbelievable, he got a bid!!!

Hello everybody, I'd like to share my idea for an browser add-on for eBay. Often we see bogus listings on eBay, reproductions sold as prototypes etc. My idea is an add-on that allows AA members to add a note (warning) to such auctions. Other members will then see this note. Functions would be: a) Flag a seller b) Flag an item c) Recommend an item. Similiar to the sticky here where you can post interesting items. Others can then vote (thumbs up/down) to avoid abuse of the function. Any other ideas? Andre
-
Have you only joined AA to promote your sale? The box is not in a good condition anyway.
-
I would like to have a copy as well. Please put me on the pre-order list. Thanks Andre

Why don't you just cancel the credit card payment?

The bidder with (0) feedback has bid on games from 30 different sellers. The bidder with (1) feedback has also bid on items from multiple sellers. So this is probably not a case of shill bidding, but of two noobs bidding to much on something.
