  1. At least 1/3 of the sellers don't reply to messages at all. I ask every seller to ship in a box and for a quick confirmation. After 2 days I then send a second message. Many still don't reply, but as soon as they get negative feedback later they'll send a message within seconds.
  2. Exactly. On the one hand he is looking for a buyer who spends $100 for a game but at the same time also buys a $5 game. Such a buyer does not exist, if he doesn't want to sell at a 50% discount to a reseller. Selling mediocre and high prices stuff in one lot doesn't work. I'm sure there would be buyers for all games, just not as a single lot.
  3. 792,000 games, with an average value of $200... so they are sitting on a $150,000,000 gold mine!
  4. I clean every sealed game before I put it into a protector. I use a wetted tissue to clean the shrinkwrap and in most cases the tissue is dirty afterwards. I don't think they do this before they put those games in their plastic coffin.
  5. $17.50 for US, haven't checked international charges.
  6. He charges fixed shipping costs of $17.50 for every order now, so I doubt I'll *ever* buy from him again. The domain should be taken from him.
  7. http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidderProfile&mode=1&item=361086185974&aid=o***l&eu=&bidtid=584627223023&view=NONE&ssPageName=PageBidderProfileViewBids_None_ViewLink
  8. Of course, and I don't expect the seller to admit it. So we have a happy buyer and the game WON'T SHOW UP ON EBAY OR ON THE FORUM AGAIN.
  9. But you really want to tell us that a noob who didn't bid on anything else in the last 30 days shows up and bids $55 on it when the auction is at just $2.25? On a variation that only hardcore Intellivision collectors care about? Or isn't it more plausible that the seller thought he has a super rare variation and will get a ton of bids and money and when that didn't worked out bid on his own item?
  10. The seller wanted to ensure that it doesn't sell for less than $55. It didn't sell.
  11. The auction was at $2.25 and then 45 minutes before the auction ended a $55 bid was placed from this bidder: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidderProfile&mode=1&item=141447571239&aid=a***m&eu=&bidtid=1038743978004&view=BUYER&ssPageName=PageBidderProfileViewBids_Buyer_ViewLink You don't have to be a genius to call it what it is, shill bidding.
  12. Yeah, right, 30 minutes before the auction ends Jonny Mc. Newbie shows up and bids $55 on an item that only hardcore Intellivision collectors care about. http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidderProfile&mode=1&item=141447571239&aid=a***m&eu=&bidtid=1038743978004&view=BUYER&ssPageName=PageBidderProfileViewBids_Buyer_ViewLink Johnny Mc. Scammer had the jitters. No. "Shill Bidding is also illegal in many places throughout the world, with severe penalties."
  13. a) It doesn't look similar, it is the same. b) It didn't sell for $10.50, seller put a $55 shill bid on it
  14. No one got lucky. Seller was shill bidding on his own item.
  15. So who is the little chicken shit scammer?
  16. The copy on eBay is the one from Certifiable. So we have a shill bidder here on the forum. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/225609-need-intellivision-inc-games-have-sealed-sea-battle-to-trade/
  17. Did he sell it? The eBay seller is a scammer and put a $55 shill bid on it.
  18. ... for selling Sea Battle to yourself! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 141447571239
  19. I wonder why they ported video games to board games, but not vice versa. Why no Monopoly or Risk? Heck, they even made Rubiks Cube!
  20. Because that guy has paid their Porsche, the mansion and everything else with his grading fees.
