    Just scored an original XBOX (1.6b board) with an Xecuter 2.6 modchip - - having a blast with CoinOps MAME and the Z26X ATARI emulator!!

    My "new" Sega 32x makes a high-pitched whining noise while running - - normal, as I read in some places on the Internet, or indicative of a bigger problem . . . ? Capacitors? Dilithium Crystals :-) ? Fixable . . . or return?

      Ahh, good call - - I will do so, carefully! I also read that reducing the voltage has helped some - - so, that does sound like a capacitor . . . !

    Considering a video capture DEVICE for composite/S-video output on games. Was thinking a USB device, any suggestions, or should I go PCI-E or PCI instead . . . ?

      I haven't had much luck with usb devices (used easycap and dazzle, with different audio issues on both). I ended up going dvdr.
