  1. I can assist you with FreeMcBoot - - it would be a multi-version install of 1.8b Hit me up via PM and let me know how you want to proceed . . . -a2a
  2. Thanks, but please note there's a SEPARATE forum for that - - AtariAge Marketplace - Subform - Auctions Cheers! -a2a
  3. Aww yeah, Star Wars car wash, nice! How about this car wash . . . ? AWWW, DAMN, WRONG PICTURE, SH**, SORRY . . . ! -a2a
  4. Wow, this thread is getting THICK! I'll just hop in, because when the mosh pit be moshing, it's time to get in on it! Fact still remains - - Seller can sell to whoever he wants, no matter whenever he receives a message, with no justification or reason needed - - unless the seller otherwise states in his original post ("auction", or "first to get back to me"). Honestly, it's the wild west out here in the forums. And, around here in dusty old Denver and my former haunt of Albuquerque, "wild west" means a "loosely held set of codes and morals that can be bent or broken on occasion, but not too much, lest you get tarred, feathered, and run out of town." Maybe this deal was shady to some, but I think the duel was fairly called, the shot was clean, and the undertaker had a pine box waiting that was just the fellow's size . . . Just my two pesos . . . -a2a
  5. What I REALLY want to know is who is that dude that posts, like, a MILLION XBOX/PS3/Wii ads per day in the Denver video game section and keeps me from easily finding all the ATARI and other goodies?!? He uses the phone number 303-550-1951 Search for that phone number, and you will see the spam-spew that he produces. Here, I'll link that search for you (link!) Just today I count around 25 of his posts alone from this morning! -a2a
  6. With regards to price, it appears that the used book community is a little confused on how to price it themselves: "How to Win at Pac-Man" Results at abebooks.com (link to search results) In Washington state, it appears to be worth nearly $70 . . . in Ohio, almost $5 . . . Maybe they grow them in Ohio, and they spoil easily when shipped to other states? Looks like nice condition, but how's the glue binding holding up and level of foxing within the pages? Is the spine cracked? -a2a
  7. Wow . . . . . . "Please only serious buyers and investors inquire" . . . . . . "We have researched its existence and have found nothing out there - this is 'IT' according to our findings." . . . Yep, you found the winner, Ed! -a2a (Image of the post attached for posterity)
  8. Oh, you mean this guy? ATARI 400 --AN 80's Classic! - $99 (Arvada) (link) I wish I had a time machine - - he started at, I swear, like, $500, and has been slowly marching downward in price, week after week . . . Epic awesomeness. -a2a
  9. On a regular basis these maddening sorts of lots pop up here on craigslist in the Denver area - - A ton of video game systems/consoles - $750 (Northglenn) (link) The best part - - "DO NOT ASK WHAT GAMES ARE INCLUDED, LOT IS BEING SOLD FOR THE SYSTEMS, EVERYTHING ELSE IS THROWN IN THE LOT" And, the most tempting part, but I am still not down - - "box of Nintendo Atari Sega games all FACTORY SEALED" Don't think it's really worth $750 . . . but maybe? -a2a IMAGE of craigslist post, in case it disappears:
  10. No. How can you prove I'm not? Well, considering you've both claimed to be a grown man several times, and at one point in time in some sort of wacky Oedipal hijinks you claimed to be your own mother.... This scammer claimed to be 9 (or was it 12...or was it a few years younger than 12) when trying to get me to ship $15 worth of Atari stuff prior to having the funds for payment... something about having to wait for his allowance. Suggestion to this "kid"...go play in the sandbox till you learn how to appropriately handle something as easy as a $15 purchase on the internet.... 9 years old...with a PayPal account? What does he plan to pay with??? Is he going to try and trade Atari games for Pogs or something? Wow . . . OK, I'm seeing it all clearly now. A little thread-searching and reading, and then this conversation . . . I rescind my previous defense of Pac-X. Sorry to verbally jump on whoever and all in that last thread . . . I did not know . . . 'Nuff said, I'm out. Sic 'em boys . . . -a2a
  11. Man, the hatred and snarky elitist Atari enthusiast activity in thread is HEAVY! Lay off the guy - - - - He likes Atari, just like you and me. - - He's excited. - - That's a great thing. - - He wants to "give back" to the cool community that is into the same thing that he likes . . . - - Aaaaaaaand . . . everyone is dumping on him. That sucks. Don't want to buy his cartridge of the same game we all have, and all the variants of? Okay, so don't! But, you don't need to crap all over his thread . . . FEEL THA' ATARI LOVE! -a2a
  12. The Colecovision is the same color as your roof tiles so of course it is a must! Besides that, Yurkie is an awesome guy and his work is top notch! Ditto to that - - my Yurkie refurbed console is a joy to play! I have a 2600 adapter, too, so it serves double-duty. -a2a
  13. Avalon Hill - - Rare and rather pricey games, if in good condition and all that, particularly with those boxes . . . London Blitz Completed Sales on eBay (link) and Death Trap Completed Sales on eBay (link) and, of course, the much maligned, but still a go-to, RarityGuide.com - - http://www.rarityguide.com/atari2600_view.php Plug in "Death Trap" or "London Blitz" to see your ideal, but rarely realized $100 - $200 for "complete in the box" copies . . . I would expect maybe $80 for London Blitz, and $150 for Death Trap, depending on condition . . . Put those other games aside (or, alternately, drive someone crazy and only offer this as a lot!), and get some nice, close-up shots of the boxes, instructions, cartridges, and any pack-ins for those Avalon Hill games, and someone on here will no doubt be interested . . . -a2a
  14. Bump - - I found all the parts for the sealed, unused ARC THE LAD COLLECTION! This thread kinda died quietly . .. Everyone must be out mowing the lawn and grilling burgers (which is what I am about to go do!) We'll just let this ride, and if no luck, I'll post again in the fall, when it seems the buying begins once more . . . -a2a
  15. Updated and edited - - I dug around and found ALL of the ARC THE LAD COLLECTION parts, complete, with 5-disc set SEALED! Sealed games make me twitchy! I want to play XENOGEARS, but cutting this factory-sealed shrink-wrap gives me the heebie-jeebies! Maybe somebody else is willing to take the plunge . . . 16. Nice work - - Bradley's company is top-shelf, and a good choice for parts (and probably the only one, too!). Around each Christmas season I turn out about a dozen or so complete 2600 restorations in a few weeks using best Electronics parts. It's fast and easy, and they all sell quickly on Craigslist for a reasonable price. I always seem to make back my money on parts, plus a small profit for my time. I always end up meeting a few interesting people and enthusiasts, too! -a2a
  17. Relatively good condition, unique item, motivated seller, $175: FAMITSU Magazine "Event Edition" GAME BOY LIGHT SKELETON - (( SIGNED! )) CIB - 500th Issue Celebration Model - 5000 Made - This One Is Signed Yours . . . it depends on what you find. I recommend the GameBoy Advance instead. Better lighting, plays all Game Boy games, easier to find . . . -a2a
  18. I've ordered a Dreamcast SD card adaptor. Has anyone else used on yet? It would be great to play homebrew from the SD card instead of burning a CD everytime. Where is the best place on the net for DC homebrew that will work directly from the SD card? Can anyone recommend some good websites and forums for the DC? Good questions, the answer is . . . "it's complicated" You can't run just ANY game from the SD . . . yet. Primarily, if the game has CDDA (Compact Disc Digital Audio), this causes slowdown to the point of being unplayable. As well, there are other issues and compatibility point with certain games. Websites, homebrews, forums . . . LOTS! Your best bet right now is the DreamcastTalk forums, here: DreamcastTalk Forums And, the primary developers of DreamShell, which you will need to actually use the SD card, are Russian, and are found here: DC-SWAT Forums Best get your translator out (Google Translate works well, just plug in the main forum page URL, and start browsing), or hit the English only section of the forum . . . Good luck! It's not easy, you have to WANT it, and "some assembly is required." Another DreamShell release is imminent, however, and they are working hard to improve compatibility for the SD card. The issue, as I understand it, is bandwidth . . . only 5 mbps through that serial port, which is somewhat constrictive . . . ! -a2a
  19. For those of you who stumbled around this thread in hopes of a working download link, but died hungry, here it is: BASIC on CART Contest (BoCC) Entries Submissions ONLY The BoCC contest appears to have been buried by newer threads, so this might be helpful . . . ! I am looking forward to playing this tonight - - Portal 2 is released tomorrow (right? right??), so what not a better way to enjoy such an august event! How's that GAUNTLET clone for the TI coming, adamantyr? Your blog is a good read, btw! Lots of good RPG thoughts! Now armed with my new nanoPEB and composite output cable, I am looking forward to playing more TI-99 "releases!" -atari2atari
  20. Fantastic seller - - - - Clear, concise listings and accurate descriptions of items - - Answered questions quickly and was willing to go the extra distance to find things out - - Shipped fast and professionally, with a Delivery Confirmation and constant PMs to keep me informed - - Item was great! I bought a CF7+ for the TI99 from akator, and it arrived and was as described. He even threw in a CD with a lot of TI99 and CF7+ utilities on it! Great person to do business with, I would recommend him anytime. -atari2atari
  21. Ugh, sorry to hear about that, AX, you get all the good ones, eh? Stick with "known" quantities, for sure - - that "gophilipgo" fellow only has three posts since he joined AA in 2006. Suspicious for sure, or at least not my first choice for business! -a2a
  22. Dreamcast makes me extremely happy. It's one of my go-to systems for relaxation, but then I am an RPG fan, and so it has some gems that I value. I am still working through Grandia II, as well as Skies of Arcadia. I never finished them, so I am focused on getting to the end. There is still E.G.G., Evolution II, and a lot of others I need to play. The ability to easily burn CDs with homebrews . . . etc. . . . on them also makes it fun for me. If the SD card to serial port mod with DreamShell would just get a bit more development, some serious AWESOMENESS will be occurring! DreamShell - - http://web.vtc.edu/users/cph11120/dreamcastproject/software/Dreamshell.htm Example of SD Card Mod - - I run my DC on a VGA adapter to one of my 24" LCDs, and have a keyboard for easy working in DreamShell and the various Linux ports. The Half-Life version that went GOLD but never released is great with the DC keyboard and mouse, too, by the way. Shesh, can you tell I'm a DC fanboy? -a2a
  23. GREAT oil paintings, by the way, and a nice, clean website! Good stuff! Thanks for sharing!

  24. Fantastic to work with! I purchased a game manual from him, and he was quick to respond on its EXACT condition, down to every last flaw! The price was realistic, and the shipping was excellent - - stiff cardboard, and totally protected. I would highly recommend doing business with Chris. -atari2atari
