Title says it all, I'll take AS MANY AS YOU HAVE. I can't find a copy that doesn't roll on a sixer, so give me all of them!
PM incoming!

These look great - - would you mind providing some idea of pricing and maybe a direct link to your eBay store or listings?
Thanks!

Hmm, first thing I notice is the - -
"16 turbo graphics cord"
Geez, I want one of THOSE! Does it come with a flux capacitor and some extra dilithium crystals?

Wow, just wow!
I think I will just repost this description from eBay so I can see it here in plain text and try to fathom it . . . and the rest of us as well . . .
Yes, it is a wall of text, but like codebreakers, or archeologists, (or perhaps psychologists?) we must persevere and attempt to pull what knowledge we can from this . . . artifact . . .
"This is an Atari 2600 Darth Vader System. This is a special system because it is a Prototype. You can tell this is a prototype because the date on the bottom of the system is April 5, 1981 and the Darth Vader didn't officially come out until 1982. You can also tell it's a prototype because of the orange ring around the switches instead of the all black on black color scheme. The very first prototypes had an orange ring instead of a black ring and this was changed in 1982 to go with the all black on black color scheme. The original Darth Vader prototypes nicknamed the Light Saber because of the orange ring around the switches was later nicknamed the Darth Vader because of the all black color scheme. I just sold one of these Darth Vaders that I bought in 1984 it came with a 16 turbo graphics cord which was used on Atari Computers up until they started putting them on the Atari 7800 pro system. It was a one of a kind one out of 20,000 and it sold for $330.00. The one I am selling today I got from my friend who had the original Darth Vader which I didn't know was a prototype until I noticed the orange ring and the date on the bottom of the system and did some research and found out it was dubbed the Light Saber Darth Vader. This was the first Atari Game System to ever use the 16 turbo graphics cord along with the newer technology added to the motherbaord to give it better graphics and sound than the regular tv cord that was put on the Atari making it by far the nicest graphics and sound wise Atari ever made!!! Even better than the Heavy Sixer it's more like the 5200 Super System. There are only a hand full of these prototype Light Saber Darth Vaders in circulation. This was a promotional Atari that my friend won from an Atari Game Challenge. I can't remember which game it was but he won second prize and received this Atari as one of his prizes and when he got it they told him it was far better graphics and sound wise than the one he previously owned. He also got 2 Lazer Quick Fire Adapters along with a couple hitech controllers. I told him last week that the one that I put on with the 16 turbo graphics sold for $330 and he said he wondered what he can get out of his prototype. Since it was a prototype and came out 3 years before mine and he won it at one of the Atari Challenges back in mid 1981 he's excited to see what kind of money his will bring so I agreed to post it on Ebay for him. This system is also extra special because unlike any other Darth Vader I have ever seen this one also comes with the original Darth Vader game center and storage case which has the black on black color scheme as well as the Darth Vader "D" emblem on the front. This has been in dry storage since 1985. We recently tested it and all of the games and everything is in good working order. The games are as follows :
Donkey Kong
Pitfall
Frogger
Pole Position
Kaboom
Sea Quest
Star Master
River Raid
Fishin Derby
Chopper Command
Stampede
Boxing
Human Cannonball
Space Invaders
Asteroids
Yars Revenge
Slot Racers
Dodge em
Centipede
Missle Command
Indy 500 with Driving Paddle (tested and working jitter free)
This system also comes with a Darth Vader controller and a slick stick controller. I have seen one of these Darth Vader Game Center Storage cases before and it sold for over $100.00 and it wasn't in near good as shape as this one is. The prototype Darth Vader is worth anywhere from $200 to $500. The games listed are worth around $40. So in total this lot is worth anywhere from $350 to $650 or more!!! I'm starting this out at 99cents with no reserve leaving it up to you the bidders to determine what it's worth to you!!! I have only seen one these other than my friends in the 25 plus years I have been an Atari enthusiast. So if you can get this piece of Atari gaming history for any reasonable price I would buy it right away and bid with confidence!!!! This is a must have for any gamer or collector for that matter anybody who is interested in video games or their history because this system started the Darth Vader revolution!!! This was the start of the video game phenomenon!!!!"
Amazing . . .
Question, anyone? Questions? Anyone?

Hi,
I got a power mac g5 but the harddrive is corrupt.
I just want to borrow the disk so I can put an mac os on this beast.
Unless some one will sell me a legit copy for cheap.
thanks,
Sean
I have a full, retail version of Mac OS X 10.5.6, complete with all packaging and in excellent, un-worn condition.
It is this, exactly:
It is not longer installed on any machine, nor was it used as a "first step" in an upgrade process, such as moving to Snow Leopard.
Installing this copy on your machine would be considered acceptable under the Apple EULA.
I would happily sell this to you for $100, PayPal gift, shipping and insurance included in that price.
Let me know!

Purchased Ogre Battle 64 - - deal was flawless, great level of communication, and the item arrived in good packaging, and was as-described.
I would recommend doing business!

Looked into the buffer chip and seems to be the cause. Gonna order a replacement and hopefully i'll be playing and buying up games buy the weekend.
Thanks a lot for your help
I've personally made this repair on the buffer chip multiple times to solve the "continuous fire" problem on player 1.
I recommend obtaining a 16-pin IC socket part from Radio Shack, and soldering THAT in, after the annoying work of un-soldering the defective IC (lots of solder wick and flux!), and THEN slot in your new buffer to that nice socket!
Radio Shack 16-Pin Retention Contact (link)
IC sockets are fragile with respect to heat, and the process of soldering the 16 different pins will take some time, and add heat to the poor IC, potentially damaging it.
Also, this makes the repair possible again in the future. It is typically caused by static electricity coming in from the controller port - - you might want to look into the "zener diode" repair for sixers that helps to reduce static effect, and of course the "static strips" over the reset/power/select switches are helpful, too.
I will upload pictures later, to help illustrate.
Cheers!

Here are some images of my standard replacement method for the hex buffer IC.
And, yes. You could just bypass it with two blobs of solder. If you wanted to. I do custom restorations and offer my customers "refurbished to factory spec - - or better!" quality, so I tend to do things the longer way.
All these images came from a heavy sixer that I refurbed a month or so ago. Got it and a few original CX-10 joysticks in an original 1977 box for . . . very inexpensive.
But, then I threw $60 of parts and time into it - - switches, new ICs, zener diodes, etc.!The unit had a note on it . . .
Which read . . .
Hmmm, I know what THAT is!

So, the process - -
The Radio Shack 16-Pin IC socket
Clean, de-soldered area after faulty hex buffer has been removed
Putting in the socket
Finished soldering in the Radio Shack IC socket - - solder from the back, don't be afraid of using flux!
Up-close solder job view:
Socket, ready to receive the new, fresh hex buffer you bought - - you noted which way the old one was positioned before you de-soldered it, didn't you?
(look for the "notch" on the IC as a marker!)Hope that helps, it's not too hard, and it brings it back up to perfect factory spec!

BONUS PHOTOS:
Here's a zener diode near the joystick port on a six-switcher after replacement, but before trimming the tails
And, of course, the static strips (here just being installed on a 4-switch model)!
HAVE FUN!

I'd prefer not breaking the lot up, but if no one here makes me a good offer I'm probably just going to break it up and throw it on eBay. I'd like to avoid doing that though.
I'm open to ANY OFFERS, throw out a price and we can deal. I prefer cash via PayPal, but will listen to any offers. The only trade items I'd be interested in are NES games.
This is easily a several hundred dollar collection, possibly over $300+
. . .
And that is if you were just in a hurry to get rid of it!
If you receive no serious offers here, I would strongly suggest parting out the higher end items here (Mean 18 Golf CIB, Double Dragon for 2600, Dark Chambers CIB, just to spot a few) and/or on eBay.
If you're in no hurry, there are a great deal of excellent items here, that sold slowly, will net you a good profit.

See them on eBay! Awesome!
I know, big I., I know - - it's the danger of these sales!
I always wonder where these puppies from my little shelter are going . . . hopefully not to the ePay sausage factory!
If I could find some way to verify they are for personal use, I would do it . .
However, I seriously wonder how many of those $115, Buy It Now, "RARE MINT COMPLETE SUPER AWESOME" Secret of Mana or Final Fantasy III listings ever complete . . . ? I would never buy them, but someone must . . . or do they?
Ah well, at least in the end, it's more funds to distribute among my fellow AA'ers for more video game fun!

Just saw this, and thought I'd share. Looks like a good price, but you guys would know better:

Excellent deal, particularly given the games included.
Insist on firing up console, testing games. Likely you will find a few issues, or observe difficulty in loading and or playing games with controllers.
Offer $40 after testing.
Then, send to Yurkie here at AA, and have that baby reconditioned to the MAX!
End result - - retro pleasure!
Good score, I recommend MOVING on it!

Can't quite figure out why people are bidding this 4-pound bag of mixed 2600 and 7800 cartridges so high - -
Shopgoodwill.com item #7538445
It's just BMX Airmaster - - the TNT version - - I wonder if anyone else sees something I don't?
Interesting. Bidding behavior is always fascinating.

Somebody grab this! $25 isn't much more than the game sells for loose!
Chris
I would, I would - - but I already have my CIB copy. From childhood, even . . . !
I do need a loose copy of Zelda, however, to go with the box - - my high-school buddy borrowed the cart and enver returned it! Sheesh!

Great communication, fast shipper, and item was exactly as described - -
I bought a Nintendo 64 game storage case from Duallies, and he was a pleasure to do business with.
The packaging was good, too, with plenty of padding and well-protected!
I would recommend doing business with him!

Seems like this discussion comes up from time to time and its always interesting. If you haven't seen Stella At 20 you should try and track down a copy and watch it. Listening to the people that were there talk about the development of the 2600 is amazing.
It really is insane the variety and quality of games that have been squeezed out of the old 2600. For a pong machine its simply incredible.
As well, picking up a copy of "Racing the Beam" is a great way to get a solid, and entertaining, understanding of the limits and abilities of the 2600.
I just re-read it again recently, and it is STILL a great book!

Feel your pain, AX.
Misunderstandings by customers with the exact service provided by the USPS' "Delivery Confirmation" have led many sellers on eBay, my father included, to switch to FedEx.
Removing the pain of dealing with the explanation, or just not being able to pinpoint a package at any moment seems worth the added expense, as my dad likes to point out. He deals in high-end, vintage instruments for a major musical retailer on eBay, and can't really afford missteps. You think video game purchasers are hard? Try these vintage guitar guys!
It won't likely help, but you can try pointing your customer the the FAQs on the USPS' web site, that explicitly state that the particular service they purchased only provides Delivery Confirmation, not "Tracking," which is a separate USPS service and costs extra:
USPS - Tracking vs. Confirmation of Delivery
Good luck, mate . . .

I purchased from whiskeyriver several times - -
- - a set of Dreamcast games, and a few NES ones, all of which were as described, and came excellently packed
- - a collection of Gamecube games, and another NES cart, which also came well-packed, and quickly!
His communication and business-like manner all facilitated an excellent transaction both times.
I would recommend purchasing from him.
