  1. Somewhat off-topic, yet not - -

The Angry Video Game Nerd has his 100th video game review up, which features Rob the Robot:

www.gametrailers.com ScrewAttack Productions - Angry Video Game Nerd: R.O.B. the Robot

Fantastic, as usual, if you are into that sort of thing!

P.S. - If you enjoy this, his 99th episode featured a review of the Star Wars franchise over the years in video games, and he featured a few of the Atari 2600 Star Wars games:

Angry Video Game Nerd: Star Wars Games

Notable quote (loosely phrased from video): "That sums up almost all Atari games - - 'star-ship-laser-go-boom'!"

    :D

  2. I agree wholeheartedly, with all your points.

Someone advises them . . . that's why it didn't end up in a nice lot of commons, tucked in there as a treat . . .

I think eBay advises them, however - - someone just queries items and determines if they are worth something.

  3. I can get a brand new one straight from Nintendo for $20 shipped, looks like I may be doing that.

That's what I ended up doing last year, myself - - it felt worth it, it was brand new and there was zero hassle.

The GameBoy Player coupled with an EZ Flash 4 cartridge is gaming HEAVEN, I must say - - all the gaming you could desire . . . on that unit . . . of those types of games . . . etc., etc . . . :D

  4. I'll be a bit more constructive, too - -

I watch and buy lots of NES games regularly.

Unless there is a feeding frenzy for some particular game that drives bidding up, you can go about a buck to four bucks per game.

How about we settle at two dollars a game until we figure out your rarities, and say that a lot of 200+ GAMES would go for nearly $400 (this number assumes some nice, but not astounding rarities in the mix, etc.), and the HARDWARE at around $200.

So, maybe $600, if you find someone that wants to take it all . . .

. . .you rarely do, though right, fellows, RIGHT? CAN I GET AN AMEN?? :D

  5. Hmm . . . without names, yes, hard to say, so I will have to guess . . .

    dr-evil-one-million-dollars.jpg?w=300&h=293

    One . . . million dollars! ;)

Couple hundred of hardware, at least.

Any game highlights, at least? Got some super-rares in there? We talking boxes, instructions, loose . . .

EDIT: Not everyone loves it, but it's a fast way to get some value ideas - - go to RarityGuide.com - NES view and sort by value, loose cart - - here, I linked it for you:

RarityGuide.com NES View Sorted By Loose Cart Value

    So . . . how many of those little top-devils do ya have . . . ?

In my experience, that's what gets the buyer - - the large lot with enough top dollar stuff that they are willing to accept the dupes and low-value items in with it . . .

  6. I've got 5 assembled 2600 AV Mod boards available for sale. They are Longhorn's boards -Rev 2.2G. Assembled and tested. You'll need to supply your own wires and jacks. I'm reselling his boards to improve availability and cost. Add $2 for same day or next day shipping via USPS First Class.

These still don't work for PAL consoles, do they, or is there a work-around yet?

Game works great, and fires up perfectly everytime. I have played it for several weeks, and as usual, still can't get the hang of this game!

Price adjusted - - I am asking $20, shipped, for this classic relic. PayPal gift, please.

It will be packaged with the utmost of care - - check my reviews, I am the master shipper!

    Thanks for looking!

  8. Modified listing - -

I will now include a memory card with the FreeMcBoot soft-mod already installed

All ready to go out of the box - - you can start using this modded PS2 slim right away!

Only certain slim models can be soft-modded - - none of the newer ones, and this one also has a FRESH, factory-installed laser, too, with a 60+ day warranty! Read for all the details below and lots of pictures . . .

    CIB - Soft-Modded Playstation 2 Slim w/NEW Factory-Installed laser and 60+ Day Warranty!

I have become more attached to my Playstation 2 "phat" model, as I can add a hard-drive to it, among other things - -

. . . So I am looking to sell my PERFECT condition Playstation 2 slim!

    IMGP0670.JPG

    IMGP0672.JPG

This PS2 slim model is the SCPH-75001.

    IMGP0680.JPG

This model number is SUPER important - -

    - - it means the unit can be soft-modded to run FREEMCBOOT. Later models of the PS2 slim fixed this exploit. You don't know what FREEMCBOOT is? Google it, and find out - - it's amazing! Burned backups, homebrews, streaming media, files played from your network share - - the sky's the limit!

The FREEMCBOOT mod is totally FREE, has great support forums, and is easy to install - - no soldering, fiddling, or anything! It just WORKS as long as the modified memory card is in one of the PS2 card slots!

However, I am going to make this a nicer deal by going ahead and formatting and making the special memory card for you. That way you don't have to bother with installing it yourself!

I'm a collector, and a preserver of ALL boxes, bags, twist-ties, manuals - - you name it. When you buy from me, you get it in perfect condition. This thing will come to you like it just came out of the store - - the protective plastic seal is still on the console cover, even!!

    IMGP0675.JPG

(( BONUS )) - The laser was acting funny on this unit, so I spent the $45 and sent the unit directly to Sony. They replaced the laser and basically made this thing factory new!

(( DOUBLE BONUS )) - The repair comes with a 90 days warranty from the date of shipping, which was January 28th, 2011. So, you have 60+ days left on that warranty!

I played it heavily for the last month, and I gotta say, it's working better than I ever remember in the first place! They put a nice laser in it!

I am going to stick to you like your wing-man if you buy this unit

ANY problems you have, which is highly unlikely, they become MY problem, and I will be on POINT to get the thing returned and fixed under warranty in under a week for you!

I stake my AtariAge reputation on it.

(( TRIPLE BONUS )) - These units don't come with a stand, usually, so I am throwing one in, free, so you can set thing thing up vertically, which looks cool!

    SO, pricing - - -

I'm asking $90, shipped, for this package. PayPal gift, please!

Yes, you can buy a PS2 slim on eBay/Amazon for $100 plus shipping, HOWEVER - - this model number is HIGHLY desirable and rare, because you CAN soft-mod it, not to mention it has been factory serviced less than a month ago - - you get a warranty, and it is in perfect condition!

I am throwing in the stand, too, which is a nice bonus, as well as the FREEMCBOOT modded memory card!

I will entertain trades, too - - - I like Dreamcast, N64, Gamecube, and some SNES games (RPGS, mostly)!

    THANKS FOR LOOKING!

  9. Christoph was a pleasure to do business with - -

    - He was reasonable with prices and trades,

    - a fast, responsive communicator,

    - kept me updated with tracking information,

    - and important to me, he is GREAT at packaging and shipping whatever you buy!

I would do business with him again and again!

  10. Greetings, Atarians!

I just chanced into a nice stash of 5200 carts, controllers, power supplies and switch boxes in one of my 2600 lots I bought, and I think I will dive into yet another console for my collection. :D

I would like to buy/trade for a 5200 console - - just the console, nothing more!

I posted over at the "Wanted" thread in the "Marketplace," however not everyone might read that all the time, so I thought I would post here as well.

I would prefer a 2-port, or a modded 4-port, but if the price is right, I can get a 4-port and mod it myself - - I really want to use the 2600 adapter with it.

Anyone have a "naked" 2-port up for offer?

I am a known, reputable trader here on AA; check my feedback thread! Trades and PayPal gift payments are all do-able.

    Thanks!!!

  11. Hello, Atarians!

I am seeking an ATARI 5200 two-port console - - just the console, no power adapters or RF cables required!

I have some duplicate 5200 carts I can trade (PacMan, Pole Position, Countermeasure, QIX, Galaxian, Centipede, and Vanguard), and/or a slightly sun-faded, but otherwise excellent COMMAVID - COSMIC SWARM cartridge for the 2600, or we can just do straight PayPal gift money . . . or a combination . . .

Let me know, I hope someone has one for me!
