  1. I like them alot. Adventures of Tron reminds of the game Fast Eddie. And those Tron startup screens are awesome.

    my new song

hi Troll, Im glad you liked it. The program I used was again Paul Slocum's Sequencer Kit. You can check it out here: http://www.qotile.net/sequencer.html it's time consuming, but really cool. You write out the song in machine language and the bin is assembled by the kit.

    my new song

So i finished my first song using Paul Slocum's sequencing kit. Thought i'd share it here with the community. It's called Weapons of Past Distractions. Unzip it and load it into your Atari or emulator and let me know what you think. DJdsl-wopd.bin [EDIT] For the record, this is not a public domain file. Moved the file to my server and renamed 'bk2600 wopd' Get it here: http://burnkit2600.com/gear/?p=25
  4. This seems like the only logical place to post this. Here's a song i heard a while back, this was the only link of it i could find. El Captain Funkahoe's My 2600. could be the unoffical AA themesong. this real media sample is from turntablelab.com, where you could buy this if you saw fit: http://www.turntablelab.com/real2/lpeps12/...ahoe-my2600.ram does he say 'goats revenge'?

    mystique cases

Hey. I just got a mystique cart this weekend, 'beat em and eat em.' it came in a case similar to an old vhs tape - plastic and vinyl with 'mystique' embossed in gold on the cover. its kinda cool. I couldnt find any mention of this on the AA site. do they all have this? thanks. ps- that is one sexxxy game
  7. holy smokes! CT flea markets are a hot bed for combat carts. not good stuff like this. Sure would like to see a rom. hey Bushie which flea did this come from exactly
  8. now even furhter OT.. it turns out he was using a turbo express. i thought it might have been his game gear. unfortunately i dont know of strictly music programs for either of these devices. he was mostly triggering sounds and making simple beats with the 'sound test' option of a few games. we also did a live remix of an 'devils crush' theme with it. have you seen the gameboy nanoloop? http://www.nanoloop.de/ this might be something you could use.. what type of music are you creating?
  9. wow - thats pretty slick... and mesmerizing too. nice job.
  10. aphex twin does a good job of discretly mixing atari sounds into his tracks. slightly OT - rap music went through a phase about a year ago where every song that had a radio edit used defender sounds to 'bleep' out curse words. also, a lot of turntablist djs use well-known atari sounds to spice up their sets. here is one of the main sources for the samples they use: http://www.beigerecords.com/products/beg-004.html i used a couple copies of this to do a set of atari beats with a friend accompanying me on sega sounds at a bar last summer. fun stuff.
  11. most addictive to play: millipede, robot tank, jr. pac, ram-it & fast eddie crown jewel: sealed vidco copy cart.
  12. id like to see your pics if you can. itd be interesting to compare the two and see if they have a similar design. Do you know who made and used the one you have? what was the reserve price you were asking for it?
  13. that would be great! id love to see if this thing works. and i doubt i'll find any proms on my own. im still trying to work out the logistics to whether or not ill be going to philly.

    dirty box finds.

very nice. hope to encounter some of these in the wild soon.
  15. i think thats it there, i thought it had a different color and number, but this is most likely it.
  16. no i have a c64, it not for that. i just saw the 'hollex' cart on AA. its simliar to that.. im guessing its for the atari 800 .
  17. just edited the pic size down. enjoy. diddnt pay much at all the whole collection was probably $20 tops.
  18. got this at a tag sale in a 2600 lot back in the fall, thought id share with yall. heres whats written on it: 1.Lift lever on socket up 2 Insert game prom 3 Push lever down to lock 4 Select the correct number 5 Insert Cartridge in Atari there are 4 numbers to select from but the switch is a 6 point selecter. drawing of prom has Pitfall 3 written on it. (pitfall 3?? maybe the number to select?) looks like someone put some love in it. from the looks of it, the condition of tape, glue and paper id say its about 15 years old. I dunno. take a look.
  19. sorta OT - I found a Donkey Kong cart at a flea market, but not for the 2600, maybe you guys know what it runs on. it said something like 'atari cx###' (cant remember the numbers) it was about the size of an intellivision cart, but thicker. No graphics on it. I guessed it was some kind of pc cart, maybe amiga?

ha yea. i got the same feeling from the pawn shop clerk when he lead me to the box. maybe it was the used porn videos behind the counter. ik

    robot tank

oops.. (pulls boot form mouf) i meant that 2600s flaw was in porting a game whos best feature was its 3d looking vector graphics - and not being able to pull That off.
  23. at one of the crooked pawn shops, i got the manager to open the glass case so i could get space shuttle, space master x-7, and a chopper command with a blue label. He says 'i got more games like that behind the counter' he takes out a dirty 8-track tape box. the ditry box contained some pacmans and tank plus's that mustve been owned by a 2600 fan turned hobo. one cart though had no label, cept for a tiny piece of red end label, with a fraction of a picture in white. i diddnt recognize it at all, so i brought it home. after 10 minutes of cleaning- turns out, its panda's exocet. good things come to those who brave the dirty box. anyone know if this had a graphic label of any kind, or just an end label ?

    robot tank

robot tank is much better. the graphics, sound, better instrument panel, better physics. Plus RT gives the feel of time passing and weather patterns that make for better gameplay. 2600 Battlezone's first flaw was trying to emulate vector graphics.
