Did the double post by accident. Unfortunately about the most I can hack with on a mac is the hack-o-matic. I tried mactari tools but they didn't work. I will continue to try and find a way!

[Ever found a console in really unusual condition?]

I took an Atari 2600 that had survived 4 feet of flood. The poor thing was filled with mud dead bugs etc. I took it apart and cleaned each piece for three weeks. I took and soaked each piece in alcohol and let them air dry. Low and behold, I plugged the unit in and it worked. Amazed me that a unit could take the damage that it did. I ended up trading the unit for some wireless remote controllers. The Atari made some grandmother happy!
