  1. made some comments on your youtube channel about it. thanks for the review. EDIT: and added you to TI99RESOURCES under /other sites/youtube
  2. they really knocked them selves out on that one. very nice.
  3. never really thought about it but you are right, an MSX version wouldn't be that much of a stretch.
  4. good for them. be nice to see there take on it. I'm sure there will be a lot less restrictions then I had with the 2600.
  5. I was asked by the distributor of my Atari 2600 version if I wanted to do an Intellivision version. I turned it down since I really didn't have the time, at the time. So are you saying someone is coming out with a InTV version?
  6. something I never thought about. if there is ever a 2nd run I'll see about boxes too.
  7. on a related note at https://www.nanopeb.com/ he has a WiFi adapter for the nanopeb that attaches to the RS232 port. is he selling this yet and has anyone bought one?
  8. on a related note at https://www.nanopeb.com/ he has a WiFi adapter for the nanopeb. is he selling this yet and has anyone bought one?
  9. there is a mod to the speech were you solder a bypass wire across the board so that the +5 is usable with other devices on the other side. I remember something needing this mod, but I can't remember what it was (oh well). but there isn't enough amps coming across that +5 from to console to run the NanoPEB device.
  10. from: https://ti99resources.wordpress.com/ https://drive.google.com/file/d/1o1qAQWlrSlkmIsx3ISe0Oz-8kUetuusI/view download the link. it's everything you need to get MAME running with TI-99 including the batch files to attach to cartridges. just add MAME. also check out the section in software under MAME which has links to MAME and some tutorials.
  11. @Stuart you did this modification quite a few years ago. did it hold up? I'm thinking of trying it.
  12. here's my beige TI-99 with an odd twist. the original keyboard was crap. And I had a spare black one. I think it looks rather snazzy. later came with purple switches which might be a nice touch later.
  13. I should have thought when you said Nylon, you are right. Nylon can be painted, I have done it successfully, but it does need prep and considerations.
  14. I don't know why someone hasn't come up with a beige case for the speech already. I would think it be a good seller.
  15. they can be painted. the beige is a standard Krylon color, best i can remember when I was going to paint the Speech, you can get anywhere. that more tan on the bottom of the console was much harder to find and I found only at a paint store. so if you want to two tone like the console, that might be a bit more challenge and pricey.
  16. got anything looks more like these?
  17. I got a beige TI-99/4a with a NanoPEB and really like the looks of it. I just got a the standard silver and black speech syn for it and it looks really bad with the beige TI-99. I thought about painting the speech beige but really don't like that idea. also thought about installing the speech in the case, but that looks too complicated. another idea was to make a new case for it that looks like the Hexbus adapter. no idea how to build one though. don't own a 3-D printer so that's out. thought about cutting sheets of plastic then pasting together but doubt that turnout looking good. Any ideas?
  18. We are having our, mostly, monthly Zoom meeting of the Central Texas Retro Computer Club. It's open to all and has no central computer we cover. this month we will be talking about how PCs can interface with HAM sets. drop by to talk, listen or whatever. Note: there is a heavy TI99 and Coco2 presence and lots of electrical engineers talking circuits and stuff. howard oberg is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting. Topic: Texas Retro Computer Club July Meeting Time: Jul 11, 2020 02:00 PM Central Time (US and Canada) Join Zoom Meeting https://us04web.zoom.us/j/76372393228?pwd=OE9XN282M05ZTW40YThwZVlwNUF1QT09 Meeting ID: 763 7239 3228 Password: 4M2pTz
  19. anyway, I have a post that I know isn't Cyc on this thread.
  20. Today added some Myarc docs in Hardware Myarc. They are Myarc Memory card, Personality WDS-100 user manual, Myarc XBII manual and appendices (thanks @blackbox on Atariage for all your hard work) and put SpaceSpace II in the Myarc section (yes I know it's not Myarc) since it's used with Myarc XBII a lot. Cleaned some misplaced files in the Scott Adams Adventure section. The actual disk with all the games was missing and another file was mislabeled. (thanks @majestyx of Atariage for the catch).
  21. thanks for the catch. that is the Adventurecart-on-disk disk file that enables you to run adventure without the need for the cartridge. it's been properly labeled and the correct file adventure-gamedisk has been uploaded.
  22. I think that's the Cyc copy isn't it? he usually put the banner at the top like that.
  23. DOAH! I had a manual buried away. FYI, there doesn't seem to be a valid manual on whtech anymore. you click on the myarc mem text file and all it has is a dead link on the text. here is a good copy. someone who knows how to upload to whtech upload this please. Myarc Memory Expansion Card.pdf
