  1. just read (@swim) was Richard Bell and he has the IP rights to Myarc. this true and could he help?
  2. the issue that makes MYXBII incompatible is the upgrades to the graphics capabilities. lots of stuff moved around so that all the capabilities of the VDP is used. so to just enable the TI99 do what it should been able to do from the start, access all the VDP capabilities, makes it myarcII incompatible. Same could be said of the 99/8 which myarcII is loosely based on. as for bugs in myarcII, really haven't run into any yet other than no peek or poke can be used.
  3. sorry, I meant, anyplace where you might be able to get a manual? is he a source for that too?
  4. any place where can get the MyArc 512k memory card? pw2.netcom.com doesn't seem to still work.
  5. i think i'm going to start sending TI-99 stuff up to archive.org. there TI-99 list is whoa-fully inadequate.
  6. created a .pdf of J&KH SXB. I will update ti99resources.wordpress.com tomorrow J&KH-SXB.pdf
  7. here is where the .pdf booklet is posted of myarc xbii.
  8. u da man @blackbox 🤙🤘👍👍👍 here is the .pdf booklet of those files . 80k. MyarcXBII.pdf will be creating a package for ti99resources.wordpress.com tomorrow.
  9. very true. if there is any peek or poke, more likely it won't run on myxbii. I was just wondering why the huge difference in speed. what is myxbii doing that XB isn't? or is it just a head fake that myxbii only runs once then cheeks if needs to run thereafter.
  10. just for fun I ran your above program on MYARC BASIC XBII. the time was 2.00
  11. I checked it out. the Cyc has a addum that this file I found does not have. I'm going to add just the information of the addum & re-upload the text file. I believe then it is up to date.
  12. adding just one today because it took a while to clean up the txt based manual. added J&KH Super Extended BASIC (SXB). this looks like a fairly interesting XB extension that adds database, string and some graphics capabilities. the database subroutines adds elements such a indexing. https://ti99resources.wordpress.com/
  13. I'm just going to throw this out there. here is a OCR of the Myarc XBII manual I found. the OCR only did a mediocre job so if anyone wants t clean it up & use it, have fun. Myarc-XBasic-Level4-myxbdoc.txt
  14. wonder if Armadillo BASIC what became Ground Squirrel BASIC on the 99/2? would explain why they dropped it.
  15. @FarmerPotato I 'think' said he had a 99/8 at one time. he still has a 99/2.
  16. added @Shift838 store to the store section under other sites. added hardware section with 77 hardware documents in the documents section. I'm not a hardware guy so I guessed at what was the essentials for hardware. If you know of any other hardware docs you think I might need to add, post it here. https://ti99resources.wordpress.com/
  17. I just bought one, looks as nice, for $5 more. the price on those are finally coming down to more reasonable prices (one guy wanted a ridiculous $70 for one).
  18. thank you for all the work you are doing.
  19. this might help evaluating some of the systems: here is a .zip of 99/8, 99/2, Geneve and Tomy I once made in MESSui 221 (a variant made of MAME with top menu). included is all the manuals and software I have found for the systems. just click the batch files and go. requires min i5 for the 99/8 and 99/2 is only 4k tape based version at this time. 99-8,-2, Geneve & Tomy.zip
  20. here is the manual all merged together. Pyuuta 2.pdf here's a collection of other Tomy manuals I have collectedTomy Manuals.zip here is TOSEC for Tomy/Pyuuta - it's cartridges for the manuals in the above files and a bit more.Tomy_Tutor_and_Pyuuta_TOSEC_2012_04_23.zip and a very extensive site covering the Tomy Tutor https://www.floodgap.com/retrobits/tomy/
  21. just curious, what year did he pass? I'm going to add to the post on my database about Guy maintaining the database till his passing. he needs to be honored for his efforts.
  22. very cool, thank you. be interesting to see where this goes.
  23. Added compilation section: In this directory is some of the more well know compilations of software. Below is the description of what they are and where they came from. The Altman fairware library was maintained by several different user’s groups over time. Amnion IUG is the library of the International TI User’s Group. BCS would be the Boston Computer Society library. Chicago TIUG is the library of the Chicago TI users group. Tigercub would be Tips from the Tigercub, which showed up in a lot of disks he sent out–and which appeared in many different newsletters as well. BIG thank you to @Ksarul for the information of the history & description of the compilations (who I shamelessly copy-pasted to the website )
  24. so true. if TI had just done something along these line; a side car addon to complement the hexbus maybe, instead of trying to create a whole new computer? with this the BASIC is now fast with lots of graphic capabilities like it should had. sigh.
